I had forgotten how Thief is incredible and holds up until today - going through the Bonehoard now.
hope you brought your fire arrows
Already posted this in the Grim Dawn thread but I think it bears repeating.
Instant classic item-in-a-game. They should have made it a Legendary item and gone full troll though imo.
Metal Gear Solid 3
Been a few years since I've played it and since MGSV came out I've been itching to replay this. I realized I haven't ever gone for the Foxhound rank so I'll be attempting to do that shortly. Right now I'm playing on Hard, taking my time listening to all the codec conversations, and getting used to the game again -- damn was that necessary. Controls feel dated as hell, and it took me a while to remember a few things. I don't even want to imagine how alien MGS2's controls are going to feel when I get to that. I'll go through it on European Extreme once for a practice run before I make the attempt for Foxhound rank.
I feel more-or-less the same about the game as I did the last time I played it. I really wish Snake was a more interesting character here; same with The Boss. At least EVA and Ocelot make up for that, but otherwise still digging it, and man, no matter how many times I've gone through this game, some of the stuff is still really entertaining.

Still 5 days to go 'til WL2, so I went and picked up 'The Last Of Us.'
Good luck with the Ponisovje Warehouse section.

my condolencesSo I'm playing Black Flag now.:/
Goddamn is the car combat fun in Mad Max, once you have the thunderharpoon and a few upgrades it is so much fun blowing up an enemy gas tank with the shotgun, swithching to the harpoon and pulling out the wheels of the main target while finishing up his buddies with thunderpoon, even the Melee combat picks up with a few upgrades So you can enter rage mode in a few blows and pull out the wraslin moves on some war boyz ass
You can install it. It adds some content and an optional area, and doesn't change the overall experience.About to play Diablo for the first time. Should I install the Hellfire expansion for the first playthrough, or is that for subsequent runs only?
My only complaint is that the car upgrades (outside of thunderpoon) don't seem to actually do anything. Handling feels basically the same from slightly positive to completely maxed out, the best armor upgrades in the game will still result in you dying to two direct hits from the northern map guys, etc. I'm not sure if the problem is that the upgrades do virtually nothing, or that the later enemy vehicles are just so statistically powerful they don't matter, but it makes collecting scrap/getting all upgrades feel pointless. Once you have thunderpoon you might as well just call it a day, nothing else matters.
Replaying KOTOR 2 with TSLRCM, playing a light side character and've gotten through Nar Shadda and Dantoinne so far. Nar Shadda's probably the most interesting and elaborate world in the game story-wise, but gameplay-wise it's pretty bad, forcing you to go through constant waves of monster corridors with your B-list characters with very little breathing room left for you to get your shit together and re-organize. Dantoinne's pretty dull overall, it's pretty much just there as fanservice to the first game, but completely lacks the atmosphere that the ruins of Korriban has.
I knew that, but I just wanted to get that area out of the way as soon as possible (that and I kinda triggered the story part of it completely by accident by walking too close to the Jekk Jekk Tarr). It wasn't particularly hard, mind you. Even with a lack of force-efficient party members I was still able to breeze through 90% of the encounters. I just take issue with how much of a tedious slog it was.If you leave Nar Shaddaa until later in the game, you should be able to Force Lightning or Force Storm your way through those mobs (even playing on LS).
