Played the Prey demo. Disliked it. Glad I didn't get the full game.
When I last did that mission, Kendall was camping in Steadwick as you would expect. I didn't feel confident beating him in a head on fight, much less in a siege. So I sent two heroes and used the other as a decoy. Sure enough Kendall took the bait and charged out, kicking the ass of one patsy. Meanwhile, my main hero came down the opposite side of the town and took it virtually undefended.
If you want you can edit 1st mission file and add someone else from cadets pool, or even make your own team (managed to recreate my Planet Alcatraz team in F:T).Are you still thrown into the long first mission without any option to pick your gear or teammates?
Finish first run of Redux 1.3.
The good part? Aside from many other pro as said above, the need to farm Random Encounter almost vanish entirely. The increase in quest XP reward mean half the gains from farming is gone. The lack of RE loots just mean the campaign missions are harder than before. So the need to travel and farm RE is zero-ed. I have to do RE combat about 5-10 the entire game, which is unbelievable in the old day of vanilla 1.3
Hard Combat is good and quite dangerous. Insane Combat is just suicide. So turn down that difficulty a notch.
The bad part? Nothing. It's the old bad point of FTBOS: the very inconvenient way to do turnbased tacticalcombat. It's a big pain to finely move one AP, then shoot. Also lacks of indicators to show Line of Sight, footprint, or reserved AP, etc...
Imps constantly run into enemy territory to try to convert tiles even when there's a fucking cannon or an army right there so they die instantly.
Call to arms should NOT cost mana with this kind of shit AI.
Wanna leave some minions back to defend while attacking with others? NOPE, not gonna happen
You never know where a tunnel or an enemy base is going to be
First time on every mission is basically guaranteed failure

Ok I'm close to uninstalling Dungeon keeper 2 now.
wutPlayed a bit more of Vanquish and MGR. I don't like either of these games. Vanquish is just so thoroughly bland
Parry counter or die, dodge through incoming firewavesand I can never grasp how I'm supposed to play MGR. I was able to get through Normal, but trying to beat the president with Sam proved too complicated. The only PG game I found decent was Bayonetta, and I wasn't a fan of that either. Devil May Cry 3 is still my favorite of the genre.
