The PSP version has a much better translation that does the story justice. The plot was fairly interesting since it was a lot of politics centered around deceit and treachery, although the translation was hilariously bad sometimes. There were a lot of names to remember, too, so it took a while to realize who's who when going through the cutscenes, but the writing definitely did not pull any punches with the tragedy and the music does a great job building the mood.
More thoughts on TIE Fighter:
I feel like a noob with the joystick.
This game has the longest tutorial I've ever seen, 28 missions + training course.
When the guy asks you to destroy a target quickly, it translates to: "Drop everything you are doing right now, disregarding your own safety, and kill that target within the next 5 seconds or else the mission fails!"
And the A in A-Wing stands for Asshole.

There's a patch for the PSX version that replaces the script for the much better War of the Lions one, without changing the gameplay. There's an added bonus of not having slowdown like the PSP version.Let's take a look. The PSP version has a much better translation that does the story justice.
Here's the PSX version:
Versus the PSP version:
It's a lot more coherent, that's for sure.
Finish it. The last two dungeons are among the best in the series. Also get all the masks.I am playing Majora's Mask. I made it out of the second dungeon, realised there are only four. This has diminished my interest in the game. It's a good concept, I get it, not sure if I'll follow it through or just jump to a different Zelda.
I swear, I tried killing Satan just for him to have 3 phases in his boss fight
Binding of Isaac Afterbirth. It's really the only videogame I can play these days. As much as the codex shits on randomized gaming, a roguelite like this gives me a large amount of replayability with different encounters, level design and items that changes my play style every time. It just pisses me off when you get so far to die against a somewhat difficult boss and to restart the entire game.I swear, I tried killing Satan just for him to have 3 phases in his boss fight
I'm curious to know what game you're talking about, as it seems there can be more than one game that fits the bill.
IIRC, Empire Earth was all about rushing through the eras as fast as possible and use overwhelming technology to level your enemies.Trying out Empire Earth. Warcraft II strategies I learned as a kid still work.
I went and played A Link Between Worlds to completion in less than 3 days, and I've enjoyed it throughly. I prefer the GBC style of Zeldas, the one with Lock & Key, so this was the best Zelda I had played in a long while :D It's open in the sense that you can tackle the second round of 7 dungeons in any order, and many utility items are unlocked from the get go. They also keep the story and cutscenes to a minimum, it's mostly dungeoneering and multi-room puzzle solving. It just works for me!Finish it. The last two dungeons are among the best in the series.
