There was a summer sale and i heard anvi saying good things about this one.
Despite looking like a mobile game with a store bought 3D assets it's a surprisingly solid cardgame roguelike. At a first glance and from what little i played it appears that each character has two or three builds you can strive towards, might not seem much but what's there is pretty fun. I especially liked Naya Radiation build that is focused sacrificing my stacks of radiation for the devastating final attack and Helena lion summon build that's focused on triggering as many lion attacks as possible.
I also like parry and precision mechanics which enourage you to stack a precise amount of block or using an attack card with the just right amount of damage.
Wouldn't say it's as good as Monster Train but i liked it more than Roguebook.

Saw this game pop in the obscure rpg thread and it caught my eye.
Absolute snoozefest. I expected a space adventure but 90% of the things you're doing here is just walking very very slowly across a very long distances, being able to fly on a hoverboard doesn't help much.

Still not finished with Overload.

Finished the main campaign from Cultic.

:4.5/5:

One thing I found very annoying was the weapon scrolling. Instead of using mouse wheel to scroll through weapons as usual, you must scroll and then click to select the weapon.
Apart from that, loved the game. I wish it wasn't this short, then again, only one person worked on it. Even on Hard the game is on the easier side I feel, so I'll replay it in the future in Very Hard and maybe then Extreme. But good god, heavy Blood vibes and a great weapon arsenal.

Rediscovering my old love for the Trackmania series by playing Trackmania United Forever/Trackmania Sunrise eXtreme on my Fold phone via Winlator. It's incredible that you can play this game on your god damn smartphone. Everything in your pockets. The keyboard in your left, the smartphone in your right.

So, I just finished Man Of Medan (one of those Dark Anthology games). Story was suprisingly ok, and the cast didn't make me wanna strangle them. Unfortunately, the C&C is all over the place, and that's what this game is supposed to be all about. Not enough death scenarios for each character. Far too often, the choice between A and B doesn't make much difference and failing QTE only gets you killed in a few places. Found this out on my second playthrough, while trying to get everyone killed for an achievement. I didn't even manage, because this one guy just wouldn't fucking die. LOL!

Also, the various death scenes for the characters were kinda lame and not as amusing as they were in Until Dawn.

Who designed the waterfall area in Tomb Raider? I dislike it. Took me a long while to find the last gear and now can't find way out.

The whole game is like that. If you're not enjoying that area I would back out now.

I'm playing Lone Fungus and it's great. The Fungus goes Weeeeeee and Wwwoooaahh when you hit a spring. Really cute and creepy game with a lot of heart. Hard as balls too.

I have been playing some Heretic and enjoying it a lot.
Against my better judgement, I am using GZDoom (already played vanilla), even though I am really not a big fan of the port.
Episodes 4 and 5 can be brutal, you may think of them as the "Thy Flesh Consumed" of Heretic.
Especially e4m1...

Can't wait to start Hexen.

Necrogauntlets + tome of power goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Thing is it leeches health off of enemies and restores your own, so you can keep it up so long as you don't take too much damage from multiple enemies.

It's my go-to weapon against maulotaurs. There's nothing else even remotely as efficient.
Phoenix Rod with Tome of Power turns into a flamethrower.
I like it better than the Necromancer Gauntlets against maulotaurs, but you need to pair it with an Invincibility Ring or else be very careful and quick to evade the maulotaur's attacks.

Hence gauntlets are the most efficient. No ammo spent, no IDDQD required, no dodging, just pop a tome and go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Playing resident evil 4, reached the castle and nope. If i want a escort simulator i would play something else. Mikami understood Ashley was dogshit design and made her hide in garbage for a reason in the village.

I'm currently grinding in The First Descendant trying to unlock a character, and I need this one final item for research that has a 20% drop rate from a dungeon for completing it. I've now run this fucking thing 7 times and I'm still short. On the other hand, a specific useless item that only has a 2% drop chance dropped already on my second try. These numbers can't be right. I'm being played. Also, I'm too old for this shit!

I'm playing Ravenloft Strahd's Possession. Currently in the Elven Tomb with a Human Paladin, an Elven Fighter/Mage, Mischa the Cleric and Glorianna the Mage. It's rough. I was savescumming my way through the tomb, sadly I didn't spread my saves around in new slots and my save got corrupted(?) and I lost 3 hours of progress. Oh well.

I discovered an annoying bug that the Gauntlets of Dexterity seems to give Dex +1, except the game doesn't seem to implement Dex >19: my Dex 19 Elf F/M equips the gauntlets and has Dex go up to 20 but there is no Dex bonus to Armor Class (i.e. the AC is worse with the Gauntlets equipped than without)?

:negative:

EDIT: Savescumming because the tomb is filled with level draining undead and there's no way to restore drained levels. In general I don't savescum.

Final fantasy Itadaki street. A little bit more complex monopoly. Experience can be summed up with my last game:
"Tied with vaan in a hour long game and i get a single card that loses me 2k value and thus the game". Fun times.
Monopoly might be one of the worst board games to try to emulate because of the dice luck being the end to all.
Just play Catan or any train board game.

I finished Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2's Episode One.

For the uninitiated, the Bloodstained series is a franchise produced by Iga, director of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The Curse of the Moon games are inspired by classic Castlevania, as pure action platformers.
What makes Curse of the Moon so fun to me is that, apart from being challenging platformers, they have excellent replay value as beating the game unlocks further playthroughs with increasing limitations, such as losing a certain party member for story reasons.

Very recommended to play these titles.

I played (and finished, as it is a rather short game) Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death.
Highly recommended, but only for real Judge Dredd fans (I know I am one).
A very arcade-like shooter, unsurprisingly it has an Arcade mode of play where you get to kill a certain number of undead or make as many arrests within a time limit, stuff like this.
Obviously has a Story mode, which is the single player campaign.
At the end of each mission, you are awarded a score and rating all based on your overall performance, which is the total time you took to complete the mission (the faster, the better the score), how many arrests have you made, how many secondary objectives you completed, how many undead you have eliminated.
"Cadet" rating is the worst, while "Judge Dredd" is the best one.
Game is very faithful to the source material, it might as well be considered canon.
Judge Dredd is voiced by Toby Longworth, who does a great job, he voices Dredd in this ultra manly and gruff voice, which is pretty cool and very fitting of Judge Dredd, the most feared and respected Judge of Mega-City One.

Hexen is a quantum jump from Heretic

Well Heretic is a reskin of Doom with switch chaser gameplay. So it's fun but nothing deep

Hexen has a cool concept, but is a little tiresome to play maybe

Heretic II is pretty cool tho

Quit Ys Book 1 & 2 for PC Engine CD at the end. Game falls off pretty bad at Darm's tower, which is a 22 floor final dungeon that has one tileset, and one 2 minute music track. It's extremely repetitive and a little disorienting to go through.
Up until that it's enjoyable enough. I missed one item that I needed for progression, couldn't be bothered to backtrack 30 floors (since I have to go both ways) and couldn't cheat to get the item I needed so I could just finish the game, so I didn't.
