Again a "lets prove that the Codex hates Obsidian after the terrible PoE" Thread...

Forget it, even here most ppl like PoE and still love Obsidian.

Getting tough to choose now, what if someone wants a TB RPG with Cain as project lead, MCA as creative lead and Sawyer sent back to the mailroom?

:troll:

Guess I'll just vote for Sir Tim as I'm feeling nostalgic after playing some old games recently :salute:

Nope. Not after Pillars of Eternity Pillows of Sawyerism.

Yes, because PoE proved once again that Obsidian is the only hope left in the industry.

If it's an RPG, I'll most likely give jewgold. I have lots of love for Obsidian and if they recognize and commit to fixing some of the major issues with PoE like encounter design and itemization I'll even back the expansion.

Why would you pay them before hand ? AGAIN? Fucking retarded or something?
Because the majority enjoyed the game you drooling simpleton.
The vocal minority is just able to convince themselves of a false reality where their endless complaining is actually reflective of what the Codex thinks.

It could be discussed if they are still the best or not, but they definitely still have a spot amongs the rpg makers. (not many companies can make that claim without being laughed at)

If it was a Tim Cain project then possibly, otherwise no. I prefer to support inXile or Larian who aren't afraid to take risks. inXile did well with Wasteland 2 IMO (out of all Kickstarter projects I've enjoyed it the most, main reason being that post-apocalyptic setting is my favourite) and I'm pretty sure that Torment will be much, much better. Now they want to make a Bard's Tale sequel and aim at a smaller but specific target. Larian isn't making games for everyone either and doesn't shy away from experimenting. Obsidian on the other hand played it safe and tried to appeal to BG fans + Bioware fans in general which resulted in a game that was perfectly summed up by Darth Roxor.

Obsidian is just too big to make cRPGs that I'll like - at least with their limited resources. It would be best if they had as many funds and time as Bethesda or Blizzard have and work that way but unfortunately it's impossible. As things stand now they're way smaller than Bethesda and significantly bigger than inXile (AFAIK).

Unless I'm completely uninterested in the concept, yep. Sure would.

If I hear that sperging about balance anymore and if they don't stop cutting corners just to make things convenient for them at the cost of the game (Common, I heard Fenstermaker spent time on the South Park RPG instead of working 100% on PoE and boy... that fucking shows.) there are companies that are worthy more of my money.

I doubt i will pay for another generic garbage like PoE was. They have to take the risk and make something new,not copy-paste Baldurs Gate and call it a day. They need to take the risk or people won't buy another PoE ,i know i won't.

If it is Arcanum 2 (or 'spiritual successor'), then yes. If it is a sequel to PoE, then also yes, but I won't give them more than 15 bucks or whatever the minimum pledge will be.

Considering what's going on Twitter now, this may end up being a rather well-timed poll.

NO.

I find me very comfortable, having officially added them to my piratebay list. Along with each and every other RPG developer, incline or decline, that anyone can think of. Sole exception does exist. Hopefully they will remain one as well. Nothing taken for granted :)
For everyone else?

No demo? No money. I leech your shit out of the web, and i am fucking happy doing it too. Die, disappear, go back to consoles. I honestly care not. Too little time and too many options in my life at this age and income.
