It's much more responsive if you turn off hardware acceleration for the web view in the options.
I get 2-3 seconds worth of input lag in the library view if I leave it on.

Somewhere, there are publisher seething over not having to sell multiple copies of the same game anymore in order to force online-only. Sure, Hamachi and other services have been simulating LAN over internet since forever, but Valve making it an official part of Steam is insane.

Wow. I was going to correct you but it actually says that only the host has to own the game. Interesting to see if this will get developer backlash or not.

Problem is you need good internet connection regardless because it's still remote play aka streaming video.

    Remote play together... bah!

LAN parties were way cooler. Actual couches, actual beer and pizza, and actual body stink of HU-MANS.

'Sides, with remote play how in the hell am I going to punch Kevin when he steals my powerups or knocks me off my sniper ledge?

It's not really meant for a LAN party style.
    More like 2 player mode.
Although I doubt streaming would translate into a smooth 2 player fighting game experience.

I'm on an actual spaceship. No joke.
Only actually fun game that springs to mind that would benefit from this feature is HOMM3. But what a benefit! Playing hotseat with buds and voice chat and a cup of coffee, this is a great feature.

Does anyone know if it is possible to play Steam games like MM X or Blood Dragon without uplay?

Is this limited to what's installed or is it for all games? I never cared much about custom thumbnails because I don't have many games installed at once.

The library view is still having massive screen drawing issues, how the fuck it it coming out of beta?

Try enabling GPU accelerated rendering under settings. That seems to have fixed library drawing issues for me.

Huh, is that a new option? I don't remember seeing that before. I saw some patch notes about something like that in the last beta update, but it said it was for Mac, so I assumed... Will look into it when I get home.

That's a good thing. Yesterday I was looking at a NWN EE Darknes over Daggerford negative review that was all about crashes. The dev replied and solved the user's problem, and the user said "Thanks. I'll update my review accordingly once the update gets pushed live!". Except he didn't, his review complaining about crashes with a negative rating is still there.
