Anita Sarkeesian is actually really cool and could do a lot of good around here.

Ultima is basically an isekai and the same reason why weebs like those is why Ultima was so successful

I mean, Isekai didn't just appear out of nowhere, the idea of being transported into a new world and becoming a hero is actually quite old.

Even regarding anime there were many Isekai series before Sword Art Online, even the creator of Gundam made one Isekai series in the 80's about a kid going to a fantasy world and ending up piloting fantasy mechas with a fairy sidekick.

No matter what medium you pick, you can find examples of Isekai stories way before the term Isekai even became common.

There is nothing wrong with kids not playing old games or being unable to like them or have fun, games have changed, and classics like Ultima IV sadly have UI's and controls that kids won't like.

You should instead complain about how they have poor taste(if they have that) regarding modern games, also, playing older games doesn't make one more hardcore

The only way really big budget CRPG's other than ones made by Bethesda and EA come back, particulary ones at the style of Wizardry and Might and Magic, are if enough people become interested in them and buy them enough that developers other than a few would make them, and the only way of that happening is if Youtubers like Pewdiepie and Markiplier(is he even popular still?) decide to make videos of them doing longplays of games like Divinity, Wasteland 2 and basically anything that isn't Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and others.

There's more money than ever in video games, yet they get worse every year. We clearly need more piracy. The profligate pirate will save gaming, not the Steam slave 'who supports indies'.

Loving the witty banter in this season’s Game of Thrones. Books definitely needed more quick quips. Hopefully George takes note and really crams the last book with characters constantly saying cute things to each other.
“You gonna leave me to die again if I get hurt?”
“Probably”
Hahaha priceless.
