Oh guys, this is gonna be good. This game will shake the heavens and the Codex. It will be a true successor to Torment. I know it, I feel it.

Regarding that picture posted by Sawyer... I wonder if those are actually the last two letters of separate words... because you can see a little line that could be part of another letter to the left of the first "E".

Myeah... I'm falling for Obsidian's trolling. :avatard:

I tried to read the first book of Wheel of Time series a couple of years ago.

A pretty standard backwater folkish human village with no contact with the outside world for generations, until one day the main character and his father are attacked by orcs (or whatever they were) in their house, while eating dinner! Then herp derp a Wizard girl and Aragorn the Ranger pop out of nowhere, herp derp the main character isn't his father's child but an orphan of unknown parentage (chosen one), and for some reason this all means they have to go on an adventure. The first few chapters of Eye of the World felt like the first chapter of Neverwinter Nights, herpa derp the Academy is being attacked by teleporting monsters!

Most poorly written fantasy hack writing I've had the displeasure of having vomited over me, even RA Salvatore is better.

I have to replay Torment. I've only finished it once and that was years ago.

I thought from Chris Avellone's interview last month that if he went with a spiritual successor to PST and not a D&D licensed Planescape setting, it would have to develop it's own completely unique tone and look, and that it would be about "planes jumping" from different worlds with different cultures.

So in other words, seeing as the player never leaves Sigil, the game would be nothing like Torment.

Other forums have been flooding with "CONFIRMED FOR WHEEL OF TIME". It almost burns. PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE WRONG, HHNNNGGGHHH!!

When has Obsidian ever advertised like this for a license? Never. Furthermore, I checked on the quotes and looked up names from the hidden text, and none of them appear in that book series.

I just facepalm every time. The first day, with the number 4 in the picture, everyone was like "oh, dungeon siege 4 or Fallout4", despite that even MCA said that it is a fucking countdown in the middle of the circle!

I'll just leave this here: http://www.kickstarter.com/profile/obsidian

Obsidian Entertainment is a game development studio located in Irvine, CA. We were founded in 2003 with many former Black Isle Studios employees dedicated to producing high-quality role-playing games. We're most known for games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Fallout: New Vegas.

Prior to Obsidian, each of the owners worked for Black Isle Studios as production, design, management, and programming staff, having worked on the Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment series.

We loved working on those games, and feel there's a real nostalgia for them, and we're looking to you for help to bring them back!
