you know im sayin

thou art going
before Anu, the King;
The road to Heaven thou wilt take.
When to Heaven thou has ascended, and hast
approached the gate of Anu, the “Bearer of Life” and
the “Grower of Truth” at the gate of Anu will be
standing.1

If it would actually be set in a Mesopotamian mythology inspired setting, it'd be glorious.

Where the most advanced weaponry is made of copper. No next-gen ''bronze'' bullshit.

There are many interesting settings I see, and it's great to have something to hope for and interesting to see what setting will be used really, but personally as long as it's pc exclusive crpg, isometric, with TB combat, I don't really care that much whether it's something new, Black Hound, or spiritual successor to PST... :) They all sound good to me. Mechanics and gameplay is what interests me the most. Sure I have my favorites, but I will wait to see what will they announce, as it seems pointless to guess until someone confirms something...

Hopefully all this kickstarter craze has "awakened" some devs and publishers that there IS room for "classical" crpg. It's really uncanny what happened after W2 kickstarter and how much potentially promising games we have to look forward to, while just half a year ago we had literally nothing.

Yeah, but in this newfangled world of kickstarters, things have been far going too much in our direction, and we're getting complacent.
We need something to turn our luck around, and I'm negative and pessimistic enough to believe that this is it.
This is the codex mother fuckers. Welcome to hell.

Has anyone noticed this?

2D Environment Illustrator

Obsidian Entertainment is looking for talented, self-motivated environment artist to help create environment concepts and illustrations for a highly stylized 2D world.

This is a long term contract position. This artist will be responsible for creating aesthetically pleasing environment designs that show an expert knowledge of shape and form, proportions, color and design principles. Depending on the level of experience and portfolio, an art test may be required.

Highly stylized doesn't fit SP at all. And I doubt they would leave already filled positions as open on their site.

One funny thing is that they fired several people some months back and now they're hiring again so soon.
Publisher money?
Shorting facebook stocks?

The plot thickens!

The South Park game IS highly stylized. And they hired people for South Park before with the "highly stylized" thing.

I recognize your pain. Your kind must learn it comes from straining against the turning of the world. It spins thus. You cannot stop it. One day, you will wake up. You will stop pulling. The pain will be gone. Until then, all your waking hours are suffering.

Very Torment-like.

Fits Eternity so far, which, come to think about it, is a pretty damn good name for a spiritual sequel to Torment.

I'd kill for an Isometric 2D game. Really I'd kill some of the people around here.
You need that good of a reason to kill some people round ere?

Anyway, some time ago MCA said that Torment's bad combat wasn't in any way to do with rtwp so I won't hold my breath for a tb game.
