I think I'll have to ignore you for that, Mr. Davis.
I'm just thinking outside the box here. All my buds at Obsidian say I know what it is, but for the life of me I can't think of what it is.

Unless they...ok I might know what it is.
Do you know its name?
Do the initials APM mean anything? (besides Actions Per Minute in RTS)

If they are providing clues (which I don't know), then it would make sense it's Morse code or some other phonetic based system (What do the words mean? Nothing. The Dirge of Eír Glanfath is sound without form). However there is no info on the spacing, so it could mean different things.

Converting ". X . X X . X X" to binary results in shit.
Code:
". X . X X . X X " => 01011011 => 0x91 => [
". X . X X . X X " => 10100100 => 0x164 => ¤

So "the words" would presumably mean the name of the project. Words that mean nothing, but represent the sound of the Dirge of Eír Glanfath, making the Dirge central to the storyline.

Well, I'll say what I can within the limits of what I can - with the caveat that I could be completely wrong.

Brother None claims he has seen it, or seen some of it. This doesn't sound like a power point slide to me. So that tells me this is something that they were working on, or had worked on in the past. Also, my friends at Obsidian say I *should* know the answer, but after 8.5 years and countless ideas and dreams, I have a hard time singling it out.

Only two projects they were working on were fantasy, the rest were futuristic or modern.

Dungeon Siege 4 - was only pre-production
Unannounced Project - Sawyer was working on this and it was in production when it was cancelled for reasons I am not aware of.

Both were being made with Onyx (as is SP RPG)

Some people who claim to be in the know say it is NOT DS4, but I know longer think the 4 is relevant as I think it is a countdown timer so that they will announce it on Friday.

So if I had to guess:
1. DS4 - despite how amazing everything looked with DS4 and the new stuff we were adding, and as much as I would like for it to be this... small to zero chance
2. Revitalized Unannounced Project w/Sawyer - this would be awesome and what I think is most likely. large chance
3. Different Fantasy IP applied to pre-existing tech, such as on top of DS4 or unannounced project - medium chance
4. Wheel of Time - I would give this higher for the ourborors, but none of the other names match the universe. - small to zero chance
5. Something not related to an actual game, ie. Obsidian joining with another studio or something drastic like that - small to medium chance

So there ya go, that's how I break it down. Anyway, very exciting and I can't stop thinking about it.

The 4 still hasn't turned into a 3? Lame.

Well if Brother None has actually seen it, that limits greatly what it can be. They had a project that was cancelled, maybe it is no longer cancelled.

Nope, not seen. I've "heard bits and details" as I said, feature-list and concepts stuff, not seen anything running in action, wouldn't know if there's anything to show running in action.

Your Obsidian friends sure are teasing you relentlessly. One of your guesses may or may not be it. :troll:

It's going to be an Anthony Davis simulator

Take up the guise of the wretched rogue Thony D'Vis and go on a psychotic spree to subvert law and order in nearby cities by suggesting the powers that be should implement a system to allow everything to be rated as 'lulz'.

Oh yeah, they are having a hoot just teasing me and asking me to guess and replying with "hmmm", "how did you get that", "interesting". All of this teasing, it's like high school all over again.

How wretching. I'm good with secrets but I think I would have a hard time keeping something like this in. I mean Sawyer has to resort to "^__________^" smileys when inquired. Crazy times.

I am, um, absolutely sure this was a complete accident, but upon going to read up a little on Ouroboros at Wikipedia, I stumbled upon a most curious reference in the list of referenced literature:

^ van Buren, Anne H. and Edmunds, Sheila. Fifteenth Century Playing Cards and Manuscripts. The Art Bulletin, Vol. 56, No. 1 (Mar., 1974), pp. 12-30. See watermark on p 15 of the article, and cf. Bayley 24-27, 45.

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut I'm very into cock and ball torture
Guys, guys, I got this.

pmd3.jpg

It's the long-awaited sequel to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 3, a writing and story heavy dungeon-crawler rogue-like in the Pokemon universe.

4 = part 4 of something.
The Ouroboros is a Dragonair or Rayquaza swallowing its own tail- maybe the plot will be about a time-loop, which would make sense since 3 already featured time travel into a grimdark future.
