Okay, I'll try my hand at this riddle. Ouroboros? A hint about words meaning nothing? The number, 4?

Easy. It's an endless game where characters speak in incomprehensible ways, and it's 4th in the franchise. The Sims 4.

There, that's Obsidian's next project. Sims were always fairly close to an RPG, what with all the stats and all, now Obsidian will finally add their touch to create the Sims experience we've always truly wanted.

Lionheart 2: electric boogaloo. Having sorted out Europe, you're off to England & Ireland to take on the fey and romance druids.

To tenderness, fellowship. To fellowship, vigilance. So bring we all to the Night Market. I am the Spindle of Esenath. Know me by my light and stand with me in darkness

So, what is this exactly? Well, it's typical obsidian all right. Sounds like the complete bastardization and fantasization of the Jedi/Sith code from KOTOR, only with fantasy names in it,
and it is even less of a non-sequitur. What a godawful style.
Why dp they even do this "mysterious presentation" thingy? Just announce the thing already, or say "we're gonna announce our new project of thursday" or something like that.
But the great extravaganza googly boogly pages? Off with the lot of them.

The number is most likely a countdown. Anyway I hope it's an original IP, not a sequel, nor yet another generic D&D of boredom.

It would be complete fucking irony if Obsidian WAS doing Fallout 4 (with them currently assisting in Wasteland 2). However it would fully incline the Fallout series (as New Vegas showed).... in general. Except for the fucking horrible game engine. Of which they would have no control over, as it needs to be "mass accessible".

Still wondering what the fuck this is. But not holding my breath, just yet...

I wasn't even thinking about them doing the FO series - just that Obsidian's most potentially beneficial feature to a publisher is potential for long-sellers (issue with crpgs generally), and Bethesda - oddly enough - is one of the few publishers who might understand both that and the likely resource needs for a crpg. At a purely commercial level, at least.

Could this have something to do with the Night Market in Sleeping Dogs???

Why? It's not like Obsidian produced anything of lasting value in a couple of years...
1. Arguably.
2. You'd be hard pressed to find a functioning developer with better CRPG history.

Anyway, I agree there is no real merit for the excitement. At least for now. Still can't help it, though.

1. Name the titles.
2. Well it's a moot point since it's the only functioning developer...

1. I liked both New Vegas and Alpha Protocol. Never played Dungeon Siege, because, seriously, fuck it.
2. :2/5:
