But, the latest Elder Scrolls game, Skyrimjob was in fact a marked improvement from its predecessor, so there's that.
From what I've heard anyway. I wouldn't bother playing the crap.

It's an improvement on both Oblivion and FO3 (differences aside from FO3).. just saying though, a success on that scale probably has their heads firmly up their asses. Moneyhats and all.

I mean, why would they want to listen? Only things like GTA and Pokemon make more cash.

I'm going to buy it, laugh at the shitty writing for two hours, write a review, refund it.

I don't see anyone many people approaching this from an objective point of view..don't you ever get tired of shitting on games you actually end up torrenting playing in secret anyway? You know, the ones played in your desk, right next to that console the vast majority of you also happen to own? I kinda fail to see the point of reinforcing this false image of "insert incline tag" selfhood when this is all anonymous..on the internet..and end of the day, pretty fucking inconsequential..let alone false in the first place;
Will the core game be shit? Most absolutely definitely.
Does it matter? Only and in as far as its modding potential is concerned.

Point? If, and it is a major IF, this time around, for the first fucking time like ever (does my aggravation show?) they ship a game that:
a) has the equivalent of a 'script extender' in-built
b) has a much improved, open and optimised editor than their previous titles?
Yeah, i will torrent buy it, around the time it re-launches as GOTY version.

It was a rhetorical question pippin, but thank you for the outbreak of wisdom. Have fun in your bubble ^^

:greatjob:

Seriously: The codex's opinions might seem a bit comical at times, but I think it's a healthy position to have against the 10/10 GOTY! rtings everyone gives to every game that comes out these days. Mostly because most of us are old enough to remember when games, including Fallout, and also because we're old enough to remember the betrayals, each and every one of them. It's not just that the industry "moved on", it's just that most games are just shit right now.

Fallout 4 is not going to be a good game. People here are going to play it, probably, but the "big" versions of WL2 and DOS seem way more interesting than this.

I don't totally hate them myself. I shit on them, but I'm able to find something enjoyable to some extent: the sandboxy stuff. It's like GTA more or less. It's only when I remind myself of when they fail as RPGs or just on a story level that I start taking a dump again.

edit: Also, that's more than I can say for games that attempt this, but fail even at that. DAI, MMOs, AC, etc.. They suck at being open worlds too.

If it turns out to be a good interactive movie I'll buy it on sale eventually.

Which part of Fallout 3's plot made you think that qualifiers like "good" or "interactive" were even remotely in the cards for the sequel?

Basically nothing, but they are throwing out their old game design philosophy to make it more cinematic.

Post-Morrowind that's an improvement. If they aren't making spread sheet driven RPGs where you can go anywhere and be anyone then cinematic eye candy is the way to go.

Speaking as a cinephile.

I think you might be drawing hasty conclusions from the inclusion of voice acting in Fallout 4. Specifically, you seem to think they've decided to make Bioware games. A more appropriate comparison would be Witcher 3, but it's probably still going be to more open than that.

Why would I put my PS3 next to the computer? It's on the living room, with the TV.

Absolutely nothing, which is why I'm wondering how anyone can say Fallout 4 has hope just based off of Fallout 3's narrative.

It amazes me that people actually think Bethesda is willing to try something new with their games, not only Fallout. Anyone who has been following them for a number of years should realize they are essentially remaking the same game with different coats of paint.

I'd brofist the shit out of this post if only I knew how to do it. That's why I don't understand people saying they want to buy the game just to shit on it, just admit that you like playing bethesda shit games and can't live your lives without the comfort and warmth brought by those steaming piles of feces.

Not going to buy it, never considered buying it even once, and you fucks are all shitposting hypocrites if you pay money for this shit and still complain about the decline

pippin if only Piranha Bytes was as good as Bethesda at making the same game 8 times in a row :negative:
