The joke to laugh at isn't the title, but the reactions.

Reading comprehension failure? I said:

"If someone wants to trash the game, write a review."

It's a suggestion, not an unreasonable demand (in which case it would have been phrased something like "you can't trash the game until you write a review" or "until you write a review, your opinion is invalid").

Would you mind reading a comprehensive review tearing the game to shreds? Or reviews are for fags these days and real men express their opinions by inserting "turd", "fail, "shit", and "lol" into the titles?

I don't think you see the difference between mocking something and wanting to state your opinion about it. And then all this butthurt over it... sheesh

Plus, if I'm not mistaken FellatorOfTurd already expressed his opinions on the game in some topic around here. Maybe it wasn't a full-fledged review, but hey we are not all born reviewers.

It sure seems the word butthurt has successfully eliminated the need to put any thoughts into posts or even make a point. You can reply to pretty much anything with:

Announce that you sensors have detected butthurt (which is usually followed by butthurt analysts pitching in with:
Attempt to estimate the amount of butthurt in this thread.
Express your genuine surprise that so much butthurt is generated.
Question posters suspected of butthurt and report them to proper authorities.
Try to encourage posters not to get all butthurt
Etc.

The chronology of events in this thread:

Never thought something so trivial would cause so much butthurt.
i've never seen so much decline in my whore life....anyways is not 'brotocol is BrotoLOL---unless you are butthurt?????
but bros no need to get all butthurt
Butthurt detected.
Cut the butthurt and try harder.
Butthurt detected.
The amount of butthurt in this thread is amazing.
And then all this butthurt over it... sheesh

/waiting for the mandatory "butthurt detected" response.

"Butthurt" is actually a wordfilter for "love"

Never thought something so trivial would cause so much love.
i've never seen so much decline in my whore life....anyways is not 'brotocol is BrotoLOL---unless you are loving it?????
but bros no need to get all love
Love detected.
Cut the love and try harder.
Love detected.
The amount of love in this thread is amazing.
And then all this love over it... sheesh

The codex is much more civilized than what a first glance may get

Yeah, I propose ViolatorOfMood be shunned, stoned and ultimately banned unless he writes a review. And one that's funny too.

banning everybody who cannot come up with a funny/witty review for an rpg would improve this place nicely.

Oh boy. VD inadvertently just *cemented* the Codex on the first place:

Yeah, let's pretend that "I'd appreciate it very much if you kept the barbs sharper, wittier, and more prestigious, thank you" and several "I agree"s are calls to shun, stone and ultimately ban VoD.

Take it easy, man. You seem very butthurt about my butthurt over your butthurt.

The idiots that write Obsidian fanboy butthurt and nothing else at max have glanced over some screenshot of Alpha Protocol and this is the reason they are bound to oneliners and ventilator of faggotry with that news post immediatley has become one of them in my eyes.

apparently about vod's sense of humor not being up to codex standards, which is such important news that it made four pages rather fast.

That there remains a considerable percentage of Codexers objecting to the unnecessarily juvenile jab is inspiring.

That VoD compounded his plight with this impressive display of additional butthurt is amusing.

That VD has completely lost his mind is not unexpected.

Carry on.

Is it? For me it's more interesting to see how an unnecessary and juvenile jab within a newspost seems to be a problem only when aimed at Alphaturd/Obsidian. There's a word for that: hypocrisy.

That VoD compounded his plight with this impressive display of additional butthurt is amusing.
There is no plight.

There's no hypocrisy. The level-headed of the Codex know that even for the worst games, or developers, newsposts about them should be reasonably restrained in their derision. If you insist on a jab, at least make it somewhat witty.

Your response above proves the existence of your plight.

Also, grow up.

The backlash seems way too extreme for something as trivial as a pun.

What about, Alpha Prototool? That is a new one isn't it?

That way we can also vary between "prototool detected" and "butthurt detected" when responding to Alpha Protocal fanboys :smug:

Disclaimer: I haven't actually played AP, and therefore don't have an opinion of how good it is
