Finally started trudograd..
It was a year ago so I don't remember how ATOM looked but would you say that there's a graphical difference between it and Trudograd? I'm still playing Trudograd and to me it looks absolutely stunning.
Atom looks closer to ps2 or early 360 game, trudograd looks absolutely stunning in comparison. The terrain, objects, architecture, etc are so much detailed. Also trudograd have great soundtracks while base atom's music is just there.
A real muzhik play chastushki and shansoni mix while he traverse nuclear wasteland

Thank you ATOM Team for another great game! I just finished my first run, which took me 40hours according to Steam, and I loved every bit of it.

As a story fag this is my type of RPG however there were so few fights in this that I was actually longing for combat. The random encounters were very easy and of the few fights I had to do to advance the story only two were actually challenging. Not even the end fight made me sweat. The game was superb but the fights need to be made more difficult. Lore wise it's good that the random encounters are low level scum with bad equipment however if they could charge you from different directions and even overwhelm you then that could mitigate the situation somewhat. However all the battles that involves the Northerners assault on the city could be made much more difficult.

Compared to the first game, which I loved, Trudograd is like BG2 to BG1. Seeing this I'm really looking forward to your next game!

I will replay this immediately and do the revolutionary path instead of the police path. It would be cool if you could help the northerners already from the beginning though.

That doesn't mean there's no third path though. It's the outlaw, so to speak.

Atomboy here's an idea for a new path when you play as a female character. It will open some new possibilities for women of the right attributes to make some extra money.

When you first meet Dandelion the Pimp he says that he doesn't want to hire you as a prostitute as you are "not much like my... other workers". Currently there's no way to disapprove him. As you know you can then go and meet Julian the Horny at the hotel bar and if you pick the right choices sell sex to him for 100Rubles. However after you have sold sex for the first time you can't, as of now, do anything with that experience.

Here's my suggestion. After you have sold sex to Julian the Horny you should get a special distinction called "Working Hoe". When you have that you should be able to convince Dandelion the Pimp that you should start working for him. This will open up a row of new possibilities for female characters.

1) You should now get random encounters on the world map that allows you to sell sex to strangers. In that way you can make some quick bucks.
2) There's a brothel in the Grey Corner as well as at the Docks. If you yourself is a prostitute you should have additional dialogue lines there.
3) Add a special hooker quest line involving the other brothels. Maybe they fight over customers?
4) If you yourself is a prostitute then you should get a special way to resolve the quest "Not-Really-A Child's Play" involving Ignat Turukhanov. Maybe inspired by Pretty Woman?
5) You should also be able to blackmail some high-ranking officials who have slept with you for money. Maybe there's a quest to set one of them up?

Here are some screenshots showing what's currently in the game and what you can build upon:

To summarise: we want a prostitute mini-DLC! What do you think?

This game has really excellent humor, at least for me as humor is probably the most subjective aspect of storytelling. But yeah, i am laughing a lot playing this game (not ironically). Like when the dude ask for a rope and a bar of soap i legit he would just off himself, or the lady that claim she got assaulted by imp, turned out to be somewhat true instead of cheating wife. There is also the insult granpa

Finished this game today. While it's a decline compared to Atom RPG, it's still better than 99% of available games.

Improvements compared to Atom RPG:
-Graphics
-Music
-Plot is more down-to-earth. That mushroom part of Atom RPG plot was retarted.

Decline:
-Overwhelming pacing, the same problem that Baldur's Gate 2 had. From the very beginning you are thrown into a big city, you are surrounded by NPCs that have something to say and want you to do something for them. When you try to complete one quest, you get three other quests in the meantime and soon you forget what you were supposed to do and have to rely on your journal too much. I prefer when quests are separated by distance like in Fallout or Atom RPG where you can complete a bunch of quests in one location, see all that this location has to offer then and go explore a different location.
-As the game is focused on a single city, it lacks the feeling of being on a journey.
-It feels too easy (I played on Expert). I imported my character from Atom RPG which had lvl 21 (and I didn't grind, this is the lvl I always end up with when I complete the original game), but I feel like this game was intended for a lower lvl character (if you create one you start at lvl 15, but as this game picks up where the original story ended, I would rather keep my progress).
-Follows the trend of replacing gameplay with interactive slides. Look at the example below. This could have been implemented as a gameplay with existing mechanics. Putting the scarf on would require equiping an item. The comments expressed by companions during the walk would be represented as text floating above their heads. Choosing the path would involve just walking the right direction. The dog interaction would be a sealth check. If your stealth was too low, the dog would approach you and you would either have to calm it down through regular dialogue window or kill it in a normal turn-based combat. I know, there are actual encounters in this game that would be difficult or impossible to implement with existing gameplay mechanics, but most of the time those minigames felt like lack of effort.

Correct! And the game is far too easy even when you start with a lvl 15 char (expert). Maybe they could add a hardcore mode to mitigate this?

I found another translation issue. I've already mentioned that Dodge is sometimes called Evasion, especially among the abilities. Now I found another issue. In dialogue you can sometimes select a Tinkering check to pass a dialogue line. I always wondered what this was since there's no skill called Tinkering. However there is a skill called Crafting. So I believe Crafting and Tinkering are used interchangeable throughout the game.

So:
Dodge/Evasion
Crafting/Tinkering

And can I just say that it feels very rewarding to replay the game with a different character build. On my first play-through I missed some small details here and there and now I can fill the gaps. Just now I found out who the Yeti is, which I somehow missed on my first run. Everything makes more sense now.

e: The Kommissar character in the Mikhalych Tavern has kommissar spelled with a C in the dialogue but under his portrait it's a K.

Hey everyone!
I'll get back to everyone soon, as we're currently desperately finishing a very soon to be uploaded update, but I just wanted to pop in and say...

Talk about hiding in plain sight! Some of these lines were done so long ago, they just blended into the mind so to speak. Very stupid! I'm vetting every line for Evasion and Crafting now. As these are the wrong ones. It should be Dodge and Tinkering. Stupid! Thanks for the heads up here and before.

Any idea if saves will be compatible with the updates? How was it handled when the Dead City update came out? I'm itching to try Trudograd already.

i think if there's gonna be ATOM 2 we're going to china since The conglomerate is to be implied to be the next big bad. it'd be pretty cool IMO, or at least maybe the steppe with some cities bordering siberia and china, far east at least. especially if you did the quest in the grey quarter after the factory main quest
the conglomerate agent ask you to steal a filter, which is actually not a filter but mass mind control device similar to what the mycelium gonna use because it use the 1CC decoder or whatever it's called

finally finished the game. i think it's kinda balanced ny there's some stuff in atom i like better than trudograd, and vice versa. i do agree the seventh heaven is the biggest disappointment. i'd take some smaller areas to be cut like the razdov (whatever the spelling is) village and merge some of the content to outskirts, so we can get proper bourgeoisie experience (like in the loading screen where rich people just stroll around in a place that looks like luxury shopping mall and tons of crazy rich persons).

overall it's such a great game, even though playing it back to back after ATOM made me tired in the end.
also hesperus star is probably

Update 1.04
Greetings, friends!

We are glad to announce that v.1.04 content update has finally been completed.

In this version, we paid the utmost attention to the quality of life updates we decided upon in earlier community posts.

14f11e0411602c207502ff9d82cb50e822b215ed.jpg

Now you can finally use your own picture files to create portraits for your character, and even customize their appearance in-game.

017b7c43a8fdec8f5b157fba579151a8d604fe31.jpg

Also Trudograd now supports the ATOM Cloud save transfer system, using which you can not only save progress between different versions of the game on different devices, but also transfer a character from the original ATOM RPG to Trudograd, using our cloud server instead of an actual save file.

Based on your suggestions, we introduced the mechanic of comparing equipment, expanded the set of icons for aimed shots, and of course added several new characters, quests and locations to the game.

There is still a lot of work ahead of us, for example, the creation of a ModKit, but for now we hope that you will appreciate the work we have done so far, and get enough pleasant impressions from returning to the snow-covered streets of Trudograd :)

In conclusion, we would like to thank you again for your support and wish you a pleasant game, as well as a very merry Christmas and a happy upcoming New Year. And now… Let there be ATOM!

Changelog:

  • Implemented support for ATOM Cloud;
  • Added the ability to customize the portrait and character during creation;
  • Added new random encounters;
  • Added a new bunker with its own quest;
  • Added new characters;
  • Added a new mechanic for comparing items;
  • A new set of icons for aimed shots;
  • Work has been done to optimize the game on low-end devices;
  • Fixed a bug that did not allow to hand over the task to Shapkevich when switching from revolutionaries to the police;
  • Fixed a bug due to which the quest Mother's Heart did not end correctly;
  • Fixed a bug in the vignette of the Cockfighting ring quest;
  • Fixed a bug where the tellurium quest would not close if you rob Cipollino first;
  • Fixed a bug that caused the console to appear during a dialogue with Arashi in the village;
  • Fixed a bug where the transferred weight of the player and teammates did not change when carrying a stack of items;
  • Fixed a bug with looping Laptev's song;
  • Fixed a bug where alternative attacks were incorrectly displayed for some types of weapons;
  • Fixed a bug where moving an item to the belt slot caused the console to appear;
  • Fixed a bug where the blow with the butt of the weapon option disappeared after cutscenes;
  • Fixed bugs in localizations;
  • Minor edits and fixes.

Can you tell us more about the ATOM Cloud account and how that works?

Yeah, I had to send in one of my save files to support as my character is a police ally but the police commander kept telling me that I was allied to the troublemakers, even though I wiped out the commies in the tavern.
