Bethesda really fucked up with Starfield. Obsidian have a golden opportunity to pull in Skyrim players, but leave it to them to fumble their release too.

I checked the Steam forums and saw a lot of Euros balking. Checked the regional pricing and

:what:

Obsidian employees have mentioned in the past that their games have done better in Europe than in America, but no way that's happening this time. Does Microsoft want this to fail? This is seriously a massive fuck-up.

Charging 349,00zł when Cyberpunk at most is 199,00zł You STUPID mother fuckers.
Game prices here have gotten crazy lately, don't even start it. Btw it shows how they setup their prices. Their baseline is the premium edition - there the prices are actually pretty close(Polish one is about $87 after conversion) but to get the standard edition they just subtract 10 currency. 10 USD 10 PLN who cares, it's not like PLN is approximately 4 times cheaper, right?

Meanwhile KCD 2's price, while higher than Cyberpunk's, is still far more reasonable https://steamdb.info/app/1771300/

Going to be a bloodbath. I really hope someone at Obsidian tried their hardest to argue with one of the most willfully ignorant suits alive.

Euro prices are comparable to American dollars. Charging $10 more than KCD 2, an open world game with bigger scope and better graphics, is a risky decision. Charging 96 more zloty, ($23) to Poles is insane.

Straight up

Pushing people to Game Pass? How much does Game Pass cost in Poland?

this game is going to be such a dud. There is no excitement behind this game at all. I had to dust off the cobwebs when I visited the avowed reddit

There's no excitement behind the project itself. For a year at this point i watch the previews about it, and it's just as dull and hollowborn as Eora itself. Even the creators can't explain WHY people should really give a shit about it.
Best case scenario, it turns out to be Outer Worlds with post menopause furries and gay sharks, which is still damning.

So just like Pillars and Outer Worlds – bland, uninspired, but above all, boring. IDK what happened to obsidian, but they're the only video game studio capable of agressively boring me as I play.

It’s only 2250rub($23) in Russia. Thanks Trump, I guess

I am going to play it but I'm probably just going to buy a month of PC game pass and then get it in the first 75% sale on steam if it has any replay value. The regional pricing in a lot of areas does suck though, I'm not surprised that people would rather forgo it or sail the high seas than pay that.

$70, what the fuck? Weren't they going on and on about how this was an AA game, not AAA, small team, try to understand? You can't say that and then charge AAA-prices. Tsk.
Japs are pricing their basement budget shovelware at $70 all the time, and weebs lap it all up. Obsidiots are no better, so they'll happily pay too.

The Outer Worlds was AAA-priced too despite being AA.
