They are completely and utterly obsessed with transgenderism and other forms of faggotry. It's very odd. They have no breadth of thought, so everything just turns into a thin veneer on top of their weird mass psychosis.

He was quoting a sentence from this preview:

https://www.gamesradar.com/games/rp...-foster-that-sense-of-exploration-wanderlust/

Almost every quest in RPG Avowed can be started in multiple ways: "We want to just constantly foster that sense of exploration, wanderlust"

Obsidian Entertainment's next game lets you do things "out of order"

Obsidian Entertainment's next first-person RPG Avowed is coming in hot - and following up the brilliant Pillars of Eternity CRPGs from a different perspective - next February. And its developers are saying all the right things about the game's approach to exploration as "almost every" quest has multiple ways to start it.

Speaking to GamesRadar for our Avowed Big Preview, environment region designer Berto Ritger explained how the game handles player choice when it comes to quests. Avowed isn't a properly open-world game, but its wide and explorable areas mean that you'll sometimes find key items out of order or stumble upon a quest in an unusual way, and Obsidian is supporting all of those possibilities.

"I think almost every, if not every, quest in the game has it more than one way to start it," Ritger explained. "You can do things out of order and pick up items and give them to people that want them, or kill a character or whatever, like, you can play things out of order. You can come at a dungeon or vice versa, from a different direction than you normally would. And we want you to be able to do that just based on however you naturally progress through the world."

That's in line with Ritger's previous comments about how the "core of RPGs that makes them special is missable content" since it makes the experience "feel so much more personal to how you play the game." Both the missable content and the fact that you can start quests in unexpected ways is the game trusting you to be - or maybe even helping you feel like you're - smart. Like someone who's discovered something uncharted.

"We want to just constantly foster that sense of exploration, wanderlust and just getting lost pleasantly," Ritger continued. I'm just excited to try and kill literally every single NPC in the game before loading up another save file and playing Avowed like the true saint I am when it comes to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass on February 18.

The amusing part is that the game looks like dogshit. I mean technically speaking. Same with Starfield, abysmal perfomance, shit graphics.

BTW, it also doesn't look like Pillars either. All those neon colors i don't think even Failguard has that shit.
Not sure why they went with "Slightly better than Skyrim" for mechanics lmao. Skyrim's mechanics were terrible even for it's time, and Kingdom Come was already released before they wrote the first line of code on this shit. But then again, Kingdom Come was made by intelligent, white men. Maybe the DEI niggers and troons aren't capable of anything better?

Because KCD combat sucks, especially in 1v2+ encounters; is very slow and not visually pleasing.

Better than the "swing wildly at hit box" combat of Skyrim and avowed. I like KCD just fine but either way, they don't need to clone it... just don't use Elder Scrolls combat mechanics as inspiration for the love of God.

I like the ability to use both hands(i.e. dual wield, magic + weapon, and my personal favorite - magic + shield, plus in a case of avowed - pistol + shield, two pistols etc). They just need better animations and collision with enemies(both done by moders for Skyrim).
In addition KCD combat is better suited for fighting ordinary foes, it’s not gonna work with beasts and creatures, where you need to move freely(without lock-on) and fast

They could've used Chivalry/Mordhau style with RPG mechanic added in terms of how your character performs.

I liked the HEMA combat in principle i just think that should have been reserved for the stronger opponents.

It was a bit silly that every raggedy bandit was also a master fencer somehow.

A combination between historically informed fencing and a loser (though not entirely unrealistic) system might have been a better compromise.

Ignore the dumbfucks asking for Mordhau combat retards just can't get through their thick skulls this game is supposed to be a simulation. If they don't like that kind of thing they should play something else instead of demanding the game to change genre entirely for their sake.

This is why I appreciate Gothic's combat system the most. There's a very real threat to facing a more skilled swordsman who's very clearly using better form, and you can usually tell they're going to wreck you because of their status in whatever camp/guild they belong to.

You being able to attain those skills by spending learning points at experienced trainers is universally rewarding, and you begin to feel the status differences anytime you're fighting another humanoid. It's immediately clear when you're fighting a loser by the way they're swinging their club haphazardly and charging at you, rather than taking measured hits when you're exposed.

And all with a very simple control scheme.

It's amazing how much better the hit feedback is in Gothic 1 + 2 versus Skyrim's sponges that barely react to heavy hits until they're dead, and then the physics engine finally kicks in.
