Hi.

It'll be quite slow over the weekend, but someone has shared a new image on X showing combat against a Phantom. Looks amazing with all that detail in the armor and the ethereal design of the Phantom.

Thanks,

It's the more colorful art style their going with

This game doesn't have a style, it's generic

It doesn't even have a color palette
It does. It has ALL the colors, all the time.
Good observation, but that applies to every media fodder made for docile goycattle. Wasn't there some normie movie lately called "Everything Everywhere At Once"?

The design philosophy for every video game / motion picture popular with the normies is this:

Wait a minute, does it mean pirates and all people who didn't purchased the special high price early access edition would be playing the game 5 days before official release?

Well, either they would sneak Denuvo or some crap like that into early access edition, or we would see hordes of people who preordered normal edition finishing the game before release.

Yeah, this thread is going to be full of gameplay footage and shitposting in four days. Clear your schedules.

I am tempted to play this and post my impressions. Ironically, of course.

Will have to depend if there's actually anything interesting in the game. As it is, Avowed seems like a paint-by-numbers fantasy version of TOW.

The hot drama is still with KCD2 at the moment.

I actually have high hopes for Avowed. (Aside of massive dumb decisions there is chance it would be interesting game, like Dragons Dogma 2 just without Denuvo thus playable.) It might be interesting game. (Or it would be Dragon Age 2 mk2.)

I even found a streamer that looks like he has immunodeficiency too, and I'd look at his first impressions.

And I even liked The Outer World enough to finish it
:whatho:

Hey, once you temper your expectations based on available information, for instance that a low-end studio is making a game (which are all AAA studios), you are able to extract what little good there is in a game and possibly even enjoy it sufficiently.

I wasn't expecting KOTOR II level of writing & characters in The Outer Worlds, so it did not bother me that such a level wasn't there. When it comes to art & entertainment, and video games are latter only, if a woman is in a lead position, I know to not expect anything at all

Which is why, ironically, I think people are being even unjust in their criticism and shitting on this Patel woman. She's a woman for God's sake. Give her some leniency. She's not Tolstoy, or Chris Avellone for that matter. If you expect her to be close to such men, then you have a bigger problem in your life and understanding of it than the fact that she's a lead writer or whatever of a video game.

Dunno, man. I just find the whole product to be unappealing, in both writing and aesthetics. So even if I could derive some enjoyment from the gameplay (which seemed to be ok), that still wouldn't be enough to keep me invested in the game.

The Outer Bores is definitely cancer. It's so mid that it ironically gives me conniptions. I'll play the *free* copy of Avowed on launch day. I'm somewhat interested in drawing direct comparisons between it and KCD II which I'm playing since release.

Hi.

Do not worry, Avowed fans, this is timestamped so you can just get right to the meat of it. Another interview to get us all through the weekend.

GOSH. Ohh, even I can feel the record skipping.

"This is really fun!"
"I just found something I've never seen before!"

May this interview give some more information compared to the others out there.

OH MY GOSH. My apologies for the guy at 2hr 45min who goes off on romances. :hahano:

Thanks,
Sherry
