But it's funny that even the gaymers of today who are into graphics think this looks bad

Crazy that these people can make no one happy (whether it's graphics or gameplay). It's the oooold problem with Soyer-led nu-Obsidian (after MCA left) - they always try to make everyone happy and in the end no one is happy. No one has had a vision in this company for 20 years, or balls

For me their first game (SWKotOR II) is also their last...

Heard a line that apparently NPCs don't move at all. They just stand in place, making it feel like a dead world. I don't mind this in general, but as a third-person game, an open-worldish kind of game, it feels pretty lame.
This is one thing I just cannot stand in games anymore. It was fine in Morrowind but that was 20 fucking years ago, and here we are doing the same old shit

70 euros, what are they smoking?

Come on man, 70 euros isn't that bad. There has to be some value in Obsidian--old design docs, computer equipment, sweaters knitted by granny Sawyer... Maybe they have a favorable lease on the building? And you get the privilege of laying off ...

Oh, you meant 70 euros for the game, and not the studio? lmao, yeah, delusional.

The graphics aren't good.

The art style is quite frankly, probably downright offensive to a lot of people.

Imagine being the art director for this. Speaking of which, where did he go? Did Feargus black bag him?

Graphics aren't good, writing isn't good, story (probably) isn't good.... So honest question - what do you have left? How is the gameplay? I only see a bunch of particle effects and numbers, you can barely see what's going on

That will cost you just a little more to get a Game Pass key than paying for a VPN and safely pirating it. Plus, you never know what kind of shit they could repackage in those.

You can't have a good story if the writing is bad, at that point it's just a writing prompt with a bunch of plot points.

Bruh you can't kill all the NPCs in this game. No more universal character death. Your weapons don't even connect with the NPCs in towns like guards and stuff. Sawyer gave a whole fucking talk about the importance of UCD.

Nobody has ever gotten a cease and desist over vidya piracy and neither has anyone gotten a VIRUS or a BTC miner from reliable torrents.

Looks like Skyrim total conversion mod made by Ubisoft
In Skyrim you could attack guards, kill NPCs (the NPCs could move), the NPCs would react to you stealing things, and you weren't forced to have a fish faggotnigger companion. Vanilla Skyrim back in 2011 had better art direction, face animations, much better UI, generally looked better, and definitely had more RPG elements. What Skyrim also had: spider webs that you were trusted to destroy without the game showing you a "Destroy the spiderweb" icon on the spider web.

Too many people here are so jaded by life and its circumstances that nothing will ever be good enough.

It's quite sad, really.
While I agree with this, much of the industry deserves the criticism and the cynicism is often justified. I would have preferred they go after an actual Elder Scrolls contender in this instance. The first trailer looked ambitious with a much better art style.

They pulled back and then asked $70 anyway.

I would disagree. I play older games all the time and the difference in quality is really stunning despite the technical limitations. Newer games tend to just be terrible in the places that matter - story, writing, atmosphere, pacing, challenge - with a few exceptions that are justifiably celebrated.

Skyrim has trash UI, everyone is using skyui.
