They wouldn't have paid for ad space in Times Square if they were sending it out to die.
Microsoft have to at least pretend to be doing something. I seriously doubt nobody realized this is slop for the trough and wasn't prepared to toss it into gamepass to fade away.

Retarded argument. It's not my job to fiddle with the UI to make it useable.
I can't imagine the kind of person who would install a PC game in the 90s/00s and not immediately go to the options screen to tune it to their preferences.

It's the retards who need all that information who wouldn't think to just enable it.

This is 2025.
If the UI isn't good out of the box - and they usually aren't as we've seen in Veilguard and even Solasta - the UI designer was incompetent.

There is also a difference between "tweaking to your liking" and "making it useable".

I sort of agree with this, but generally any modular UI stuff tends to just be a pain in the ass. Simple checkbox things and similar are a different story though and fine: more is better, so long as the game works without whatever you're turning off.

Because you are a retard, who rates Pillars higher than Arcanum, because in truth, you skipped the RPG Renaissance

People weren't bitches with ADHD back in the 90s/00s and just played games instead of bitching about accessibility

Someone (probably from Microsoft because Obs haven't been self-aware for over a decade) saw that it's shit and it's not going to sell well even during the holidays, so they pushed it to February to make as small a splash as possible and be thrown into gamepass fodder.

Saw a review detailing one of the companion quests for the fish guy in which you help him realize he’s a gay fish or something along those lines. Didn’t Outer Worlds have a similar quest?
The PRG creation process has be so streamlined, that the next Obsidian game will come out in a matter of weeks after Patel the office janitor finishes the first draft during his lunch break.

If you played any kind of 3D game you had to fiddle with it, because games back then didn't auto-detect settings based on your hardware, you had to figure out what kind of settings your PC could handle on your own.

It literally is lol. Gaming is not a niche hobby for basement dwellers anymore.

These days the hinge profile of every third woman I see mentions bg3 or FFXIV etc etc.

It's decidedly mainstream at this point.
