...just install Rogue Trader dammit.
There is black female that obligatory joins early in game, because owlcats company has black philia.
You have more chances to kill her than any other member of your party. Whoever wrote her story def hates niggers.

Mana Khemia 2 is great game
Why am I not surprised the guy using ai to generate furry toddlers plays this shit.

it's bit better than Rogue Trader.
Terrible hot-take. Kill yourself x2.

The two female companions in Avowed are way more plot-relevant than Kai/Marcus. Kai is relevant at the start but afterwards he and Marcus might as well be Just Dudes Hanging Around
Somehow I'm not surprised.

Obsidian should have listened to me and made more games in the Tyranny setting.

yes, because we need more STRONK WHAMEN post-apocalypse characters and bizzarro never happened in real life matriarchal societies..

Though I admit I did enjoy the moment when I was allowed to kick the water mage off the top of my tower.

edit - Also it's probably for the best we didn't get more games considering how the Sauron stand in is referred as generally either gender neutral or female. Nothing good could come from that considering the writers at Obsidian.

Honestly, Tyranny was the first game that threw up red flags for me with Obsidian. It was the herald of it's demise.

Kyros, while clearly female according to some out of game sources, is never seen, meanwhile all the Archons you do meet and battle with are male. It really is not a feminist game
I must have fevered dream the law of the land that you're in that states that women are the leaders and land owners (while men have the dubious honor of being captains on the sea), the "women are better" water mage (who literally says that), the society of werewolf thingies that have bigger females as leaders and the men all simp for them, and many many other examples.

Alternatively, you're wrong. Very, VERY wrong.

I played first one, and it was amazing game. With very controversial beating up advanced tech using alien who got mental trauma when he saw people surviving laser cannon blast without a scratch.
Also Pamela rulez in MK I.

It had nice game systems, and nice rewarding exploration systems. Also it had multiple endings. That was top notch on limited system with next to zero RAM like PS2.
How many endings are there in Awowed?
it's bit better than Rogue Trader.

Character and crafting systems are running around Owlcats games in circles.

Wow, the female antagonist is never seen, whereas all the major antagonists that you fight and kill are male, that's totally not woke feminazism at all!

BG3 is good game.
Relative to BG1&2, this statement is certainly correct.

I'm surprised with MHW numbers, game is poorly optimized and yet managed to reach those numbers. No wonder devs don't optimize shit anymore, look at those numbers.

Wait next fiscal quarter and see the report regarding Xbox gaming division, if they managed to profit somehow, everyone will keep their jobs regardless of their performance due to gamepass structure.
If shit proves to be unsustainable, fat trimming issued.

How can Obsidian spend 6 years making a game and be satisfied with those sales numbers?

Monster Hunter Wilds is China slop and I imagine Obsidian is quite happy to not have either of those games' user scores.

Nonsense, if it cames with the sales of either of those games, theyd be fine with it.
As has been mentioned several times in this thread, if they were sales-maxing, they would not be making single player RPGs.

It's also a very poor business model to sell games that half the audience hates. Any developer with honor wouldn't want that outcome either.

Pretty disingenuous to say that half the audience hates MHW. Most of those negative reviews are "This game is great, but it's terribly optimized. I can't recommend it in its current state."

Optimistic of you to think they'll fix it.

Yes, Obsidian is committed to making RPGs that the maximal number of people hate instead.

They did try to make a multiplayer RPG and ended up having to pivot to single player...........

When given the choice between Destiny or Skyrim, Parker chose Skryim.

They also had Grounded which was a huge success. 20 million players, the full release was September 2022 and it was still receiving content updates through last year. ROI-maxing would just be focusing on and monetizing Grounded-type games.

And it's unfortunate they don't. Grounded didn't put me to sleep, unlike TOW
