WTF? Take a deep breath and realize it was never about any tranny or Amber Scott specifically. Hiring her was as a lead writer was a mistake. A part of the problem at Beamdog. The tranny was a symptom, not the problem. Respect for their customers, take writing seriously and don't fuck with the IP you're leeching, that's pretty much the list of "demands". Writing a better tranny, good. Removing out of character Minsc quotes, good. Those symptoms have been dealt with or will be dealt with, but then Beamdog needs to do a major introspective and fix their problem.

Their problem being, they are a small developer with a specific IP and pander to a very specific crowd. They are not mainstream, they are not big, they don't have corporate shills to protect them and their personal opinions, as distasteful as they might find it, their job is to deliver Baldur's Gate. Nothing more nothing less. Their job is to imitate writers from 20 years ago, not "fix" the game. They failed, because their problem is that they misread their place in the world and who were their customers.

Tbh im more bothered with the level downscaling of the entirety of the last encounters in the game and the blatant disregard for AD&D systems and to a lesser extent with the writing of the womyn in the game in general. They are completely off character.

Complete rewrite to be better aligned with the FR setting and the BG saga in particular. Respecting the source material. Also removing every trace of agenda pushing. Also reworking the fucking magical items so that they are actual 2nd edition items.

I already said that I approve of the change itself and that most people will probably agree that it was for the better, I just don't like how it came about. We've seen so many games censored these last years due to "community feedback" which usually is someone or a small minority getting triggered over some innocent thing that really shouldn't be able to offend anyone. Making a bad aGG meme a part of Minsc's voiceset was less than innocent and this is not really the same thing at all but it still rubs me the wrong way to see them remove it.

Exactly, the problem is.. Those topics aren't just esporadic, are trend in the WHOLE game. And those answers are the norm in the vast mayority of the conversation. I just pick those two because i wanted to show them to some friends in my irc channel but dropbox fail me (the file saved is just a black img) until later i remembered that BG keep the screeshots apart in a different carpet.

That was my FIRST time uploading an img to freehosting in like 10 or more years. They got me motivate at least to do that

Siege of Dragonspear represents more than 25 hours of new Baldur’s Gate gameplay, and more than 500,000 words of writing. I’m proud of our team for launching this great expansion.

We’ve received feedback around Mizhena, a supporting character who reveals she is transgender. In retrospect, it would have been better served if we had introduced a transgender character with more development. This is a lesson we will be carrying forward in our development as creators and we will be improving this character in a future update.

The last few days have showed us how passionately many of our fans care for our games. We've had a lot of great feedback from players who love the expansion and are having a great time experiencing the first new Baldur's Gate story in 15 years.
While we appreciate all feedback we receive from our fans, both positive as well as negative, some of the negative feedback has focused not on Siege of Dragonspear but on individual developers at Beamdog -- to the point of online threats and harassment.

I just want to make it crystal clear that Beamdog does not condone this behavior, and moreover that it will not have the desired effect as we stand behind all our developers 100%. We created the game as a group, and moving forward we'll work on the game's issues as a group, which I believe is exactly as it should be.

We will provide a complete list of the issues we plan to address in our next update. Issues of note we are addressing are:

Multiplayer – We are acting on reports of multiplayer issues and hope to have this fixed in the next update.

There's a lot to be adressed in your post (asking for a complete rewrite of a released game is about as realistic as asking for the flamethrower video).
