Gargaune In NWN, you could use the numpad to rapidly traverse the radial menu. Also, I recall that if you held the left mouse button after bringing it up, it would auto select whatever you put your cursor over. This allowed you to access any "depth" of the radial menus with only 2 clicks.

He obviously isnt using the PRC pack , I remember having to go into 5 submenus just to use one specific odd ability on my beloved Barbarian/Wizard/ Hagspawn but mad skills on the menu though!

Wasn't aware of the Numpad shortcuts, but it's not for me anyway, that's my mouse hand. As for holding the click, I know that you can right-click and hold to quickly activate options on the first layer (very useful for giving Henchmen orders), but I'm not aware of any way to navigate further layers without individual clicks. I don't know what the guy in that video's doing, but I'm guessing he's just really fast with his clicks.

I guess I have played too many eurojank games at this point but I don't feel the movement systems or party selections are that bad, especially since the last patch that makes your party members follow you after you jump over a chasm or upwards.

Hello, police? I wanna report a violent psychopath! Yeah, I'm sure, he's defending Larian's Toilet Chain. Check your missing persons list, they're probably in his fucking fridge!

I'm not defending it, it's totally meh as far as I'm concerned.

The music choice for a video about game menus is hilarious.

My feedback after completing the EA: Shovel should be a permanent summon. Better yet, replace the companions with Shovel and Lump.

This thing sold like, what, 50 million copies on early access? Imagine being BioWare right now. All you had to do to achieve universal praise and prosperity was make a turnbased version of DA:O. But you had to dick around with cinematic gaming instead.

The interesting part is that I'm sure that there are people like me, that want to play a finished product, so they will sell even more copies upon release.

Although they're starting to have a real problem as far as the playerbase goes, which has dwindled to almost nothing. They might actually have to pay beta testers to ensure QA for the later chapters. I know that last sentence I typed sounded amusing, but it isn't.

Or they aren't going to test the later chapters at all. Considering a) they already have your EA money and b) the majority of players never finish their games why not?

I know you are retarded but for those following at home Larian have already stated only chapter 1 will be available in EA. As was the case for Divinity.

How does that contradict what I said?

controller once

RPG's with a controller is heresy. May Adanos have mercy upon your soul!

All in all a very disappointing, frustrating and boring experience. I liked Shadowheart and Astarion is a fucking unbearable idiot.

Amazing post. Only to complement : HP bloat and lv 4 """"arch""""druids are also complete BS. 5e already has a problem with hp

Moon Druid for example is obscenely overpowered and can take on a couple CR higher monster all on his own, while a Wizard won't have a chance.

You was saying that arcane casters was OP and now, druids are OP. And Wizards doesn't have a chance because Evocation is the unique non nerfed to oblivion school on 5e.

The cynical part of me suspects that Larian is going to basically replicate what they did with DOS2 - ensure that the Early Access/Act 1 content is incredibly polished as the majority of streamers and reviewers likely never make it past Act 1. This way they can maximize review scores and positive exposure to boost sales. Issues in Act 2 and beyond can always be patched later (much less pressing due to lower exposure), or better yet, packaged with the future console port as a "Definite Edition".

There's a reason why they are making such an effort to implement Twitch integrations and making sure all the romance story beats come in hard and fast just in Act 1.

I don't think Larian has some evil plan where they are deliberately trying to fool people.
I don't doubt they are putting on their best effort to make the best possible game they can.
More than anything I tend to question the design decisions they rely on to achieve that result.

If their shitty "Panel from hell 2" showed something, is that Swen seems to take pride in the amount of shitty, janky exploitable mechanics they put into the game rather than perceive it as a flaw to solve. And that worries me more than any alleged "malicious intention to mislead the reviewers".

Finding out broken things is fun.

Was it easy to find out how to get a permanently hasted party in BG 2? How cool was it when you figured it out?
