But Original Sin 2 was a worthy successor to the originals.They should stop raping the corpse of a venerable franchise.
Where's the joke? The fact it isn't true?

Post list of things Larian should add or change to gameplay, writing, story to make BG3 incline, game of the decade.
companions that are worth a damn and not hurr durr agenda pushers.
So far you have the choice between two valkyries, one trying to boss you around and failing and the other trying to be snide and failing. And the weak manlet companions are just as bad.
What would make it instant incline is a brute barbarian type companion, Korgan 2.0. Most RPG's have shied away from that.
Most of these issues, and more, should be fixable by mods. Of course it doesn't speak well of Larian's design skill if mods are needed to fix obvious problems, but it's better than no fixes.Top billing for me:Post list of things Larian should add or change to gameplay, writing, story to make BG3 incline,
1. Add shift+click to chain/unchain individual characters, we're halfway there after they added a chain/unchain all keybind;
2. Add camera options for screen edge turning, both vertical and horizontal, unlock pitch from zoom;
3. Characters should join the initiative order as soon as they perceive combat, not act freely until they are perceived by the enemy;
4. Extend stealth to involve rolls when approaching from behind an enemy as well;
5. Swap Shove to be an Action rather than a Bonus Action, there's already an overemphasis on verticality.
There's a ton of other stuff, some smaller, some larger but out of scope by now, but I think Larian could have a solid contender if they dealt with the above.
Don't have high hopes for this decade, do you?game of the decade.
3. Characters should join the initiative order as soon as they perceive combat, not act freely until they are perceived by the enemy;
Yeah. Or kill himyou can kill him the very first moment you interact with him3) Delete Astarion from the game
you can alsosell him out to a monster hunter or w/e it is
While this might be a great premise for the next season of Paradise Hotel, it's note representative of how D&D is usually played on the tabletop.The entire concept of the starter companions in BG3 is that none of you necessarily like each other. You're all thrown into a difficult situation and *if* you team up, it's for a shared need for survival, not because you all feel you're so compatible. It creates a lot of opportunity for character growth and roleplaying vs just sticking you with whatever 3 or 4 people who agree with you and, at most, chime in to reaffirm the decisions you were already going to make.

This one is caused by the multiplayer system of the game. They want players to be able to act independently from one another, which includes being able to speak to NPCs and do quests while other players are fighting on the other side of the map. I guess they could force player to enter combat when close, which I'm not sure how feasible it would be, or add timed turns at least on higher difficulties so you cannot just take your time flanking the enemies and positioning them.
I wouldn't count on it, the first two are feasible only if the relevant input listeners are exposed, the following two need to be worked into core combat and AI. Larian's platform seems more moddable than most, but we're talking Bethesda-style access and infrastructure. That last one with Shove can be easily fixed, yes, people have already done ruleset mods in the EA.Most of these issues, and more, should be fixable by mods. That's the reason, yes, but just like the chain system, it's an inadequate solution to the problem and there are better approaches to it. Specifically in this case, if you do it how I said and you roll initiative when a character perceives combat, rather than being perceived, you can still have another player do his thing somewhere else out of range. That other player will only get dragged into combat if he's on scene, just like he would in tabletop D&D.This one is caused by the multiplayer system of the game. Oh the fascinating games you must have played with a handful of yes men that agree with everything you say and do.While this might be a great premise for the next season of Paradise Hotel, it's note representative of how D&D is usually played on the tabletop.The entire concept of the starter companions in BG3 is that none of you necessarily like each other. How often are cRPGs respresentative of how RPGs are played at the tabletop though? One of the (very few) things I liked about Divinity: Original Sin 1 was when the other starting character would disagree with my decision, meaning there was some sort of internal disagreement that got settled via the rock-paper-scissors minigame. While the minigame itself wasn't all that amazing (although I didin't hate it, either) I really liked the premise behind it, because people can have varying opinions on what course of action to take (evenmoreso considering their character's background).While this might be a great premise for the next season of Paradise Hotel, it's note representative of how D&D is usually played on the tabletop.The entire concept of the starter companions in BG3 is that none of you necessarily like each other. While you're at it, go play some Encased, brah.The other day while playing WoTR and doing a "pressure plates puzzle" where you need to position characters in a specific way I instinctively tried to drag a portrait away from the party.
That's when I realized that Larian tainted my innocent soul forever with their garbage chain/unchain system.
