Shut the fuck up already.
Chill out grandpa, take a deep breath,a smooch from the oxygen machine.

Yes, let's never ever improve upon anything.
You are so...progressive,so forward thinking. It is interesting that get called moderast when arguing against the rape of an established franchise....
Anyway keep your progress and innovation and i will keep my money.

Must've been a decadent poet in a previous life.

I am very quietly Big On Fash Poetry. And Yeats, though he didn't have the balls to be a fascist.

Still find people like Arch who randomly into talking about 'teh j00s' a bit clownish thooooooooo.

Anyway I expect at least half the naysayers to buy BG3 within a year of 1.0, knowing ~gamers~.
Watch out Magnat you may catch yourself a greek chick,or a turk larping as greek.

I was expecting a reskinned Divinity: Original Sin game with D&D rules with not-so-great writing. It seems that this will be what we get.

It's very likely that I will buy the full release. Early Access does at this point in time not interest me very much.

Can't wait to roll my drunken monk dwarf, punching everything in my way.
Haha. You can't play as a monk.

She's a Dutch Anarchist, so nah. Plus I quite enjoy being a libertine))

Anyhow, Theodora Nil, Arch isn't fashy, just a smug Norwegian jumping on the anti-SJW bandwagon.

Well, that's unfair. Even as a certified graphics whore, I had no trouble replaying the IE games recently. It's easy to convert BG1 to run on the BG2 version of the engine (everyone's been doing that for years) so the screen resolution isn't an issue, and the visuals themselves have aged surprisingly well.

Im kind of worried about classes, multi-classing, etc. It seemed as if classes were really streamlined. Game looks pretty tho (pretending the fugly ui is not there).

It's actually terrible in a real time tactical game with movement and positioning.
In Frozen Synapse I've ended most of the time just giving movement and attack orders for max 2s ahead that were reasonably predictable, and was waiting out remaining 3s of 5s phase in some safe "overwatch" position.
That only means the resolution phase is too long.

Agree, but if you are going to make it lets say 2s, then what's the point ? There will be encounters, or parts of encouners, especially moments involving mostly melee whacking, where you could leave it for few seconds without imput, why interrupt then ?
At this point you can just add "autopause every x seconds" option in addition to pause at will and let people play how the want.

He is the generic youtube/social media liberal larping as conservative. Such people worth listening even less than the sjws when it comes down to politics.

Ahhh how come a dutch wench lives in Byzantion?

Dutch????????????????? ive never been so offended in my life.

And not formally, but he's a bit beyond your standard Youtuber complaining about SJWs. He larps hard an expresses his politics through the way he talks about the Imperium. I could swear he's also explicitly in denial of the Holocaust, which Takes A Type, but I can't remember where he says that.

There's not really a better shorthand that I know for "Manchild Gamers Who Like To Talk about ``Globalism``", but I'm open to suggestions.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Pathfinder: Wrath
Get a room, you unchained sex fiends. But then, I guess publicly courting trans people is a time-honored Codex tradition.

Wizards are far more versatile than sorcerers/warlocks...
In P&P, versatility is a big deal. In a typical CRPG with a lot of combat encounters, not so much. Usually, strong crowd control outshines everything else, and in most cases you can still take a few direct damage spells just in case.

And in some games, be a mage is far harder than be a martial guy. See Gothic 1/2 for eg...
I was talking only about D&D/PF based games. Obviously, other systems can be very different - in many games magic is gimped (e.g. when martial skills scale with the weapon damage and spells don't).

what the hell is "fash poetry"

roughly early 20th century right-wing poets. eg. ezra pound.
Yep.

That being, while I can enjoy some good ol' Ezra and some symbolist poets (Macedonski in particular), I prefer 19th/20th century Eastern European poets of the romantic and (socialist) realist variety.

Since I can't be bothered to translate Macedonski's excessive usage of metaphors ("Sounds of battle" being my favorite poem of his), have one of his short roundels translated ad literam:
Roundel of bourgeois France

Where is the great France?
What the eyes see, tears you apart.
Oh! the imbecilic bourgeoisie,
And the prideful ignorance.

The sky is of lye,
A shroud for hope,
Where is the great France?
What the eyes see, tears you apart.

Between the mind and idiocy
All distances have been cut. --
All wanted to be equal,
And they are, for certain. --
Where is the great France?

Meh a Balkan seduction guide is more entertaining to read than drivel about this game.

at heart you all do want your companion romances
That is true,a lot of lonely people here :). Tho if i want romance i will go for something older, haven't see a game with good romancing in a decade maybe. Maybe i should go and replay the banging of a swam witch game.
