Larian studio has been making games for a really long time. Why don't they make a sequel to their own old games back when they were actually good, instead of another studios old games?

Because WotC chose them to do BG3.

But if not them, someone was going to do it. BG was going to have another studio continuing the franchise anyways. And really, who would've wanted current Bioware to do it?

The worst aspects of D:OS1 and 2 are no longer present, i.e. the combat system, random items, and D:OS2's perplexing armor system. Yes, the writing is going to be irredeemable garbage, but BG wasn't a bastion of literature either, especially 2. What we have seen from the gameplay itself is definitely incline, I can't complain about anything when it comes to that, given the circumstances of an AAA game and D&D 5E. The SFX are another matter.

The worst aspect of their games was Larian which is unfortunately still present. I've seen nothing incline about this game. Turn based has been done and will be done much better in the future while this game blows up for 1 year then fades into irrelevancy where it belongs. BG has been loved for 20 years and will continue to while this will live in on in no one's mind after people get over the new shiny paint.

I've only made 2 hate threads about it. You're exaggerating. Someone has to make hate threads for all of us who need them. Larian needs to know that we exist and want to be heard while you would silence us and give us no voice. We are here and we want to be heard!

Agreed. You need to strategically distribute your butthurt evenly throughout the development process, else there won't be any left by the time the game hits beta.

There's really no need to be this upset about a game that has a long way to go before being released. BG3 (or D:OS3, whatever) not meeting your expectations doesn't defile anything. If you care about old BG so much, go play that, there's nothing holding you.

Fans of the original. All they talk about is dos 2 this and DOS2 that. They haven't mentioned or Incorporated anything from Baldur's Gate. Everything in the game is to appeal to their own fans.

OR he can prevent the natural fading of butthurt over time for maximum output.

Personally, I'm eager to look at EA build to compare but considering presumably huge scope of the game there will be hardly a big difference.

I just hate Larian's idea of what makes a fun game so much. I remember when I went into Divinity OS 1 and I think I only made it maybe 20 minutes into the game. Right off the bat the characters were making me cringe with their dialogue. Then I had a conversation between my two characters where I was picking the dialogue for both of them. That was more of a turnoff for me than I have words for. I'd be willing to concede that I could be wrong about turn based crpgs because I do love me some turn based jrpgs but their writing is so bad I don't even want to give them the benefit of the doubt. We already know the writing is going to be bad. So I'm going to be cringing throughout the entire game and probably not enjoying the combat either. There's just nothing here for me to enjoy even though I'm a huge fan of the first two games and that makes me really sad.

The dice rolling shit we've seen is stupid too. I thought the point of having a crpg based on D&D is to experience D&D as if we were a character in that world. Not as if we were simulating being LARPers sitting at a table. There's already tabletop simulator and a bunch of other options for that. I don't want to be reminded of that shit in a crpg with dice rolls and their odd style of dialogue for the main character.

For too long developers have convinced players that they don't deserve anything and should just shut up and take what they're given. They made you all cucks. You deserve better and your voice deserves to be heard. Stand up against decline instead of just taking it because some codex fucks are going to rate your post as butthurt. Have some heart and passion.

You mean stacking icons inside boxes inside boxes inside bags inside barells isnt a good inventory system? Shame!

Not only that, but the insistence on having four separate inventories when playing solo. A shared inventory would fix a lot of the issues.
