Are gamers to blame or developers? Are gamers complaining if they get something more low level?

Pathfinder was so much more memorable to me than Dos2. To be fair, I have played Pathfinder over 300 hours while only playing Dos2 for around 30 hours. I remember wanting to kill myself during those 30 hours but not much more than that.
To be honest, gamers are to blame primarily. Most gamers think BGII is the superior game just because it had a higher level cap (and better graphics). While any proper monocled connoisseur knows that the original BG is the best. Gamers typically want bombastic experiences, they are not interested in most down to earth low level adventures, which in my opinion are typically better in gameplay and atmosphere.

Hence why I'm hoping companions have predetermined classes rather than the pick-what-you-want approach Larian's previous game had.
But you're only given the choice of picking a backstory when you create your first character, aren't you? Or are you just straight up creating your entire party at the start of the game? Big decline if that's the caseHence why I'm hoping companions have predetermined classes rather than the pick-what-you-want approach Larian's previous game had.
Their starting class is defined by the character's backstory.

But my question was about the recruitable companions, not your player character. But you're only given the choice of picking a backstory when you create your first character, aren't you? You can play either an origin character with a fixed backstory and starting class or build a custom character where you choose class, backstory and so on.
The rest of the party consists either of the other origins/companions you recruit during the game or you can start with a full custom party just like in the old BG games. But my question was about the recruitable companions, not your player character. But you're only given the choice of picking a backstory when you create your first character, aren't you? Thats really cool for when they add multiclassing in Early access. Being able to fully respec the base apart from the class means you can spec them into every different class if you want.
(for the uninitiated only multiclassing requirements 5e has is that you need at least 13 points in your old and new classes main stats to do a multiclass. Some classes are counted as having more than one main stat for the purpose of this. So a 13/13/13/13/13/13 character [which is kinda awfull but mathematically possible with point buy] can take a level in all 12 classes. )
Yes! Adventure.I also agree with TemplarGR. More local plots are better than "saving the world". Even for high level stuff. On nwn1 - hotu, when you are dealing with drow conflicts, the game is far better than when you are dealing with Mephistopheles invasion. Icewind dale which focus on the nordic region is amazing too.
If he is passionate about something then this guy is already better than half the people on this website, despite the writers trying to make him sound like an idiot by making him speak like a druggyGuys I found out who Ontopoly is LARPing as. He's the writer from the Luckee Stars Motel in Hollywood!
