Well hopefully the massive success of this game will inspire others to make more isometric rpgs.

Turjan:

Also my Rl friends are playing the game and love it. The assumption women don't play games is 90's outdated at this point.

Yeah, and not only that. There's also quite a few guys that play female characters.

But I guess, for some people, it's difficult to say No, because it's content they paid for.

It will be funny to see the reaction of trannies, when the moment right wingers become scarier than them, 90% of the population will instantly turn on them and go full holy purge mode.
Is that what you need to tell yourself to cope? People go along with it because it's the right thing. If anybody gets purged, its human garbage like you

They go along with it because they can lose their jobs or their livelihood if they don't. Normal people hate all that stuff, and hate being forced to conform to it, there's only like a hardcore shitlib 15% or so who really think it's great.

Btw speaking of degenerates, I am not so versed in dnd lore but I suppose orcs are like evil monsters and shit. Does that make half-orcs basically rape children or minautor-like mythology type race?
Yes.
It depends though. Some half-orcs are civilized and quite varied in alignment and morals. But an orc? Kill on sight, that's my policy.

guys im stuck on kill goblin leaders quest, i think i accepted the evil path "raid the grove" or somethin. killed two goblin leaders but now i cant raid the grove(quest gone) or find the drow bitch to kill, bricked run i think

The drow bitch is one of the "goblin leaders" you have to kill. If you spoke to her and accepted her quest to raid the grove, then let her go (she leaves if you take that quest, though you do have an opportunity to kill her as she's leaving, so you might not have to go that far back), then yeah, the "kill goblin leaders" quest is probably fucked. Although I don't know what would happen if you turned on her later, like if there's an opportunity to kill her before the actual raid happens - but I suspect you probably can't.

I kinda hoped i could sort of kill some of them and then lure them into a trap and make a fight easier, guess i overestimated what is actually possible in the game sadly, the thing is though she is no longer in the goblin keep and i have no clue if she is even somewhere on the map right now

Non-degenerate gamers win again. Cope and seethe faggots.

Probably also helps that she's most agreeable when you play a goody-two-shoes
Is she? I think she disapproves "stupid impractical paladin" types of decisions.
Shadowheart is most agreeable when you act smart and pass charisma checks.

Karlach is more of a bonehead good type of character from the start.

Too bad her writing is trash. What exactly about her character says "I've spent 10 years in LITERAL hell and I have scars to prove it"?
It rather feels like she had a corpo desk job she really hated. Which might have been the inspiration.

Write what you know, I guess.

Have you rested since Minthara left? Something similar happened to me but after I rested the quest popped up again with new instructions and I had to talk to Zevlor on top of the gate and blow the horn.

companions are both overdesigned AND mindnumbingly boring. i'll take some guy who just wants to kill some gobbos over any of them any day of the week.

One minor thing that's disappointed me (given the depth of some of the other things in the game) is how non-reactive Volo is after you get him in your camp. I mean, there's the option to to do the eye operation that gives you a see invisibility glass eye but that's it, he's inert beyond that (though thankfully you can trade with him, which is handy). It would have been great if he'd commented on lore things as you went through the game discovering things :)

especially glaring when every companion is sooooooo speshul, but in reality is simply pathetic low-level chump easily killed by random gobbo. at least give them some moments to shine.

some of the quest objective markers seem to linger even if you complete the quest(for me its the tea hosue) maybe it is because i killed the captured child in the fight by accident idk

I decided to give this a chance before summer is over and what the fuck, why is the Paladin option to lie? Why is "we must kill it" a persuasion instead of a deception roll? Why do I not even have the option to try to tell them the truth and convince them?
Presumably choosing the first option means that you actually want to kill her

yes. first - side with tieflings against frog, second - send them off and decide what to do with frog yourself, third - side with frog.

We need a thread for Larian lies, there were so many. That was in 2020:

https://steamcommunity.com/games/1086940/announcements/detail/4360001904749548892

During the panel we gave a couple of examples of how the depth of Baldur’s Gate 3 made our numbers soar. We showcased the spell “Speak with Dead”. A spell that could (and potentially should) be easily sidelined or “gamified” because of the immense scope, but instead we’ve ensured that Speak with Dead is relevant throughout your adventures with every corpse that had something interesting to say.

Meanwhile 3 years later, the spell was completely "gamified and sidelined" and using it on 99% of corpses results in *the corpse has nothing to say*

It seems they mostly focused on delivering massive amount of animations, cinematics and voice acting, every other truly ambitious idea was abandoned at some point in development.

lol all the dungeons are the same, you enter, then you talk your way to the final boss and then you bitchslap him because he wants something retarded, then you just clean up till the exit.
Lol all your takes are the same, you enter a topic, then you talk bullshit till no one takes you seriously anymore. Pity you never exit.

Yeah, it's just weird.

Wyll - He used to be a big deal but brain worm somehow made him level 1 again. I think he said that, but I'm not sure. My brain shuts down when I listen to him. I... I just can't do it.
Gale - Used to be a mage gigachad goddess fucker. Before he annoyed Mystra and put a netheril nuke up his bum. That's... not the worst story hook. Could work in a better written game. Maybe.
Karlach - Was a high level thug in first level of Hell. I don't think there's an excuse why she is a low level scrub again. Or doesn't even act like someone who actually was in Hell.

I guess Larian writers think they are too good for writing level 1 characters.

In BG1 only Jaheira (and Khalid) stand out, because BG2 adds some lore about her past adventures. Normal stuff, like fighting a slaver. No hell or god-fucking.
