So this is great: Goblin Butler comes to me during a rest, says Shadowheart will die because she's my sweetheart. I haven't actively romanced anyone, she simply has the most approval because it is incredibly easy to gain approval with her no matter what. I tell him I like Astarion better - i.e. I don't give a fuck about that homo anyway - but my only choices are kill Shadowheart or resist the Urge.

REACTIVITY! CHOICE AND CONSEQUENCE! WOOOOOOW!

I think I accidentally donated my astral touched tadpole to the refugees, along with some foodstuffs, where the flaming fist dwarf collects donations. Oops.
If they made it possible Larian should act some sort of reactivity to this
You can donate any item in your inventory. It's like a barter screen, but you get nothing in return.

And we both know what the actual result is.
Doesn't matter (had sex): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQlIhraqL7o

You can express an opinion and then things go the way they were going to go. Much like IRL.

How many years have I heard people complain about crappy writing? Writing in crpg games is almost always crap.
Let's not pretend otherwise.
BG1 had an almost non-existent plot for most of the game (until reaching bg).
Poe is complete
shit that's extremely boring. Deadfire was marginally better because the voice acting limited the amount of crappy writing.
Paper-thin or boring =/= Insultingly stupid
BG3 is the latter
The difference between the two is just the reader's disposition.

The truth is that throughout much of our lives our young age has shielded us from realizing how bad writing is in any media.

That's an explanation, not an excuse.

Terry Eagleton I think had said that even a bus ticket could be read as literature, in the right context. But come to think of it, I don't know if he has read anything of BG3

Insert Title Here Pathfinder: Wrath
In the outskirts area, past Act II.

I killed a random Sharran guy who recognizes SH, after he had told me he will alert the local Sharran branch he has seen her, and then broke off conversation. The crime system kicked in and I rolled a 20 on an intimidation check, so I was let go. Taking your bets on whether there will be reactivity to him never managing to break the news.

Accidently aggroed whole gob temple by triggering crime check that I missed, including merchant I'd just invested a bunch of gold in who simply disappeared. Didn't realize it until after letting spiders out. Or maybe that aggroed them.

The writing is crap although the presentation is good enough to watch and play.
Compared to such PoE, I was literally struggling to get through the game. It's not a question of voice acting because I had the same thing with the outer worlds

Does the patch restore companion functionality? Namely Minthara who's apparently contentless after act 1.

It apparently makes her clothing marginally more functional (but also less interesting).

Does that count?

So apparently this was supposed to be the 'full ceremonial armor of the Absolute' worn by Ketheric Thorm:

Wish we could actually get that in game rather than his lame vanilla armor. That helm in particular is glorious.

No, before patch you could ask her about companions infinite times after patch you can do it only once i didnt get any new dialogue options but Mintara have content after act 1 she will comment on important things and have her own quest related to Orin, but there is no more romance

The writing is soo fucking bad,it is DOS 2 on steroids. Quests just don't fallow any continuity lol. People constantly talk to me about how i did x quest for them even if i didn't. A few days back while exploring the underdark met some weird gnome bitch with a powderkeg, persuaded her and she went off in the dark, thus i forgot about her existence. Now in chapter 3 some weird goblin bitch whines that i did a quest for the powderkeg one which involved breaking up with the weird gnom lesbian. Took me like 10 minutes to remember that it was the powderkeg weido she was talking about lol. Quests are just broken and dog shit all around.

so far act2 is pure joy to play. Cool bosses mechanics, secrets, exploration, story bits.
If you didnt find lantern so early on it would be perfection.

Yeah but all the items are borderline worthless in the game,it is one of the worst itemazation i have seen in a game.
