Every class has at least one archetype that benefits from single-classing.
Khalid would you mind staying dead? Thanks.Jaheira's sex scene is more about shaking the dust out of her ancient granny cooter.
Sure, but even with smaller roles or just cameos, they could've still done a better portrayal more consistent with their portrayals in prior games (and ideally not retconning their prior character arc, like with Sarevok).I think they were brought in this game just to fish old fans. But then they were put in a corner because the franchise needed new characters who could be "ready" for the market and bring the series on towards maybe a fourth game or a TV show.
Ah, I completely agree. But the idea, I think, was to make them "forgettable".Sure, but even with smaller roles or just cameos, they could've still done a better portrayal more consistent with their portrayals in prior games (and ideally not retconning their prior character arc, like with Sarevok).I think they were brought in this game just to fish old fans. Throwing in particular is so strong (with tavern brawler, obviously) that you can dominate whichever subclass you pick. But yes, berserker is the obvious one for min-maxing (though if you wanna min-max you'll still multiclass and pick up thief).Eh, actually a Barb is not terrible. But a lot depends on archetype (Wildheart Tiger who attacks 3 enemies with each strike and has huge jump distance rocks, Berserkers make very strong throw barbs) and of course, the multiclassing alternative is still stronger.Nothing wrong with multi-classing, but with Pathfinder or Pillows, you're multclassing to find cool and unusal builds. Here you're multclassing because frontloading makes it kinda FOMO to stay single class . I just hit 6 (Nere fight, cool boss) and Wizard and Bard are fine, but seeing what Astarion and Karlach get was very limpdick moment lol.
Not really a bad thing, ToB was shit.ToB and whatever Gaider did with Ascencion is non-cannon I believe.
Jaheira gets a quite an introduction with tons of fanfare, just ends up being useless. It's a really weird approach for sure, I don't know what they were trying to accomplish.Ah, I completely agree. Viconia died in her romanced ending though, if people had played the games they'd know that.Viconia received a way worse treatment than Jaheira, she was defiled.
To be fair you could kill practically every single NPC in BG1 and some of them would still appear in BG2.Viconia died in her romanced ending though, if people had played the games they'd know that.Viconia received a way worse treatment than Jaheira, she was defiled.
Poor lad Sarevok. Ending up like that in the hands of soy sipping Larian cucktard writers. All of the characters brought back from prior games were badly done fan service.
Defiled is a rather strong word. But yes, she became quite the one-dimensional villain. Sad to be sure.Viconia received a way worse treatment than Jaheira, she was defiled.
I actually like Jaheira a lot here. Better then in BG2.All of the characters brought back from prior games were badly done fan service.
Meet Jaheira.
Get excited as fuck.
Dialogue hypes her up as a legendary aventurer.
Suddenly some niggas attack and turns out she's so useless in a fight I have to keep healing her.
GG Swen way to ruin nostalgia moment.
Figured I'd try the romances.
Lae'zel is like, come on take me you brute, your raw strength drives me crazy.
Meanwhile I'm a tiny ass gnome half her size.
Who writes this shit.
Jaheira can self-haste, then transform into an owlbear.Although druids are kinda weird.
On one hand, they can meaningfully contribute to martial combat, particularly as Moon Druids with Earth Myrmidon shape and 3 attax per round that have great accuracy with Tavern Brawler and can knock enemies Prone. Or spray everyone Wet as a Water Myrmidon.
But then again, they cannot cast when shifted, which kinda sucks, as they get some neat spells. Not quite the nuking potential of other classes, though.
Short Kings, apparentlyMeanwhile I'm a tiny ass gnome half her size.
That's not true. I imagine it's hard for F4 fan to appreciate that but there's actual RPG in BG3 there under all the woke bullshit. DAV on the other hand apparently has nothing to offer at all in comparison.Surprised people are still talking about this game here. I figured most of you would be playing Dragon Age Troonsguard. They both serve the same audience. Or did you people need to pay for your transition out of pocket instead of tax payer funded and cant afford the new trannie game?
"""People""" are still sperging about Owlscat autism simulators here, what do you expect.Surprised people are still talking about this game here.
