GOD-tier perk on any specialised tank for its ability to control the battlefield, what the fuck are they spending stamina on anyway but shieldwall (when engaging multiples) and taunt?
That's a stupid question, since it's easy to go through stamina very rapidly, even if all you do is shieldwall (which is why I tend to pick Recover for any designated shield brother).

you seem to be unable to let go
Just responding to what you said.

your retarded talk about moving your collarbone a hair away from a mortal blow and getting a 'deep cut in the arm'
Have you ever been in a fight? Have you ever been in a fight with a drunk? A drunk man will move much slower out of the way of a blow than a sober one. It is not ridiculous at all that a nimble person will be hit less vitally than a slow person. As for realism, you're the one who said it doesn't make sense for a lightly armored person to be able to move out of the way of a blow faster than a heavily armored one.

Nimble does not make much sense mechanically. I've written more than enough about it.
Go ahead and keep dying to RNG because you refuse to take RNG mitigating talents for "personal reasons" and then complain about it on the internet.
:shitandpiss:
You really have some trouble grasping the difference between 'doesn't make sense in terms of realism' and 'doesn't make sense mechanically'. There's already Dodge for "being able to move out of the ways thanks to wearing lighter armour". Nimble is not "moving out of the way", unless it's "moving out of the way but not quite, each time". In other words, it's unlimited Stoneskins (3th ed.) on steroids without the vulnerability to adamantine weapons . No management, not tied to anything, just select the perk and it works under any circumstances, no matter if you are dazed, goblin-poisoned, chilled, shellshocked, staggered, trapped in vines, trapped in web, with sand in your eyes, swarmed with insects. You might be netted, but hey, a mere net cannot restrict your Shaolin monk body-twisting. You might be fleeing in panic, but your body is not afraid, and it will dodge so precisely that you'll take only half punishment or so. Stunned or horrified? Ultra-instinct here we come. A hexe might possess your mind, but your body has a mind of its own and it will keep doing the Harlem Shake in spite of her diabolical powers. Got broken leg, pierced leg muscles, injured knee-cap, cut leg muscles, sprained ankle, broken knee, and maimed foot? Ha, still half-dodging!

Indomitable is just as unrealistic of course with its damage reduction, but it has an AP cost, a (steep) fatigue cost, it only lasts one round, you can't use it if you are already stunned, etc. etc.

Now, since you whine about me being a dick:

You seem unable to cope with the realization that Nimble, in its current form, was introduced in order to babysit to the endgame crappy players like you, so that your delicate self-esteem would not get scarred and you would be able to think of yourself as a hardcore player, in spite of all evidence to the contrary.

Now, this is being a dick. Notice the difference?

Or:

The main problem of Battle Brothers is not Nimble or Taunt, rather the fact that it seems to attract a huge number of patronizing idiots. They typically are the ones who know least about the game (apart from a couple of exploits they've somehow scrounged from online guides), but boy, do they flap their gums.

This is also being a dick. Again, notice the difference?

And what you call "complaining about the RNG" was replying to a post about goblins being dicks with their punctures with another story about "hey, orcs are dicks too, hear this!"

That's some next level projection, Porky. But you shouldn't let your obesity ruin your life, otherwise you'll be still at level 5 on day 100+, and become the laughing stock of the entire BB thread.

Interesting read, and it actually makes sense why the AI does what appears to be random dumb stuff. Although beyond the fancy wording from the devs, I'm afraid it's closer than I though to Arcanum percentage-based "AI". In practical terms, utility-based AI turns out to be fresh riders with shield and handaxe who go shield-splitting just once on my shieldwalling round-shield bro, then leave the shield half destroyed and just keep attacking without bothering to finish breaking it. Or stuff like a single breaking orc young fleeing and having one hex advantage over my closest bros, gets two hexes away from leaving the battlefield, then on his turn instead of leaving charge-stuns my closest bro, then does not attack him, but disengages and moves once again one hex away from leaving, and of course having pointlessly spent all his remaining fatigue and having his initiative lowered gets caught and murdered from my other bros in the next turn. Oh well.

Darth Canoli, how is Legends' mod AI, compared to the standard game?

Why is Nimble so popular here? Don't you need to wear light armor to maximize it? Is it worth giving up heavy armor for?

The reality is exactly what Serus says: in practice in a given game, you'll get bros that are good for Nimble and bros that are good for Battleforged and you end up with a mix. You could sperg out and go solely for nimble or armored bros but most'll end up with a mix. Beyond the simulationist spergers the reason for it is that it is the primary source of gear diversity in the armor deparment

I'm impressed with the ability of you guys to fight each other over menial stuff. Does Battle Brothers stress you guys to this point?

Welcome to the Codex
What? I tought Codex is the most friendly place on the Internet.

Seriously though, someone never saw a bunch of geeks discussing anything or what? Great friendship were severed over whether HoMM 3 vs HoMM 2 is better. Or BG1 vs BG2 - same thing. Or if Planescape is a real CRPG. Or who is hotter: Princess Leia or Chewbacca*. And other similar stuff. On the Codex and elsewhere. This here is as friendly as one get get. Seriously, we mostly exchange experiences (yes, even with Porky), never mind some small fights.

*I vote Leia but it is a close call.

My first was the first one of the series but i am not very nostalgic about it. I liked it back then but objectively it is too simple to be of interest compared to any of the sequels. It had lovely art though, the least serious, the most fairytale kind of mood.

I started another campaign of Battle Brothers and i swear to god of all computer turn-based tactical games - this time i'll make a fencer (and one that won't die before reaching level 11). Obviously this time i won't be able to find any named fencing sword but c'est la vie.

ANNIVERSARY SALE

Time flies by and Battle Brothers celebrates its 6th anniversary!

Indeed, it’s been six years already since Battle Brothers first entered the stage on April 27th, 2015 as an Early Access game. On the way it gained the perfidious Goblins, a trove of deadly weapons and lots of content, such as the endearing melon mugger and the ability to sacrifice your own men to Davkul, before graduating to a fully released game on March 24th, 2017. No less than 3 expansion-sized DLCs followed, and the game saw a release on the Nintendo Switch.

All throughout this time you’ve provided us with valuable feedback, encouragement and support. Thank you! :)

To celebrate our anniversary, the game and all DLCs are on sale until Sunday! You can get them on Steam or GOG.

I'll soon start playing Battle Brothers + all 3 DLCs for the first time. Are there any mods that are a must even for a first time playthrough?

I made a quick search and found about the Legends mod, the Tweaks and Fixes as well as two convenience mods (Smart Recruiter and Settlement Situation Tooltips). Should I get one or more of these?

well... I will give one quick lifesaving tip: Avoid mods that change the frequency of events, somehow it fucks the events system to the point that while iniatially everything is fine, around day 70 all events stop. I lost 2 playthroughs to this shit.

And probably its better to avoid all mods on your first playthrough to learn the game and see what you don't like, so that you know what to look for when checking all mods available (there aren't a lot).
