Probably trusted in the organizers of a TwitchCon to be smart enough to actually have a deeper pit filled with those foam cubes... and not just jumping straight into concrete.

That's current generation for you. With some of them it's a marvel they can tie their own shoes, let alone master abstract concepts like "perhaps 1 cubic feet of foam would be insufficient to protect someone divebombing onto concrete".

You'd think they'd put down some mats at least. Even those cheap interlocking yoga mats would help.
