You know my favorite thing in this game is?

When the werewolf corpses with all loot fall into nowhere through the ladder near the Yarnham bridge:lol:

Never encountered this one.

The new things in the expansion seem p. cool. The 'invasion' in the Forbidden forest actually surprised me. And I was so happy when I managed to kill the first hunter I met in the Nightmare... "these guys don't respawn, right?" ;)

Guise I completely fell in love with the Souls games just last week and now I got a dilemma. I've never owned a console or even played on one but first time in my life I'm seriously considering buying the fucking thing just for Bloodborne. Help me justify this idiotic decision for my conscience and family budget.

I guess my questions would be - Are there any other games marginally worth playing on PS4? At least one? Not some awesum visceral AAA trash full of cutscenes and awesome buttons or childish Nintendo-like romps for 10 year olds but something a mid 30 adult can play? And what about Demon's Soul remaster, any solid info on that? I also loved FF7 way back, what about that relaunch, anyone following that? Is it shaping up to be something gud or a disaster?

I was lucky enough to have a friend who got a PS4, so I played Bloodborne at his place. I definitely loved the game a lot (not as much as DkS1 but a lot more than 2), but I still can't justify buying a console only for one game.

Hmm... The two things that saved this purchase for me are:

1. A big group of friends that gather in my place to play FIFA or NBA 2K

2. An online community here in Athens to trade games, so I buy one or two and I play much more via trading.

Apart from Bloodborne an The Witcher 3 that I don't have a very powerful pc and I played it in PS4, I wouldn't say that I enjoyed other games. Oh, The Last of Us remastered too. But exclusives will come eventually, it depends on whether you are interested or not.

Also, if you like digging into indie games, you may like PS+ free games.

NIOH might be good. It's being remade and rebranded as a Souls-derivative but with Samurai. Then there's Nier: Automata aka Nier 2 that might be interesting to you.

i don't know right now, but it will get the new Nier and The Last Guardian and later on even Deep Down hopefully, so it should be worth it just for those 4 games (there's exactly 0 chance any of those [except maybe Deep Down] will come to any other platform so it's justified). plus, From has a deal with Sony for at least 2 more games (extremely likely to be exclusives) so...

I bought PS4 just for bloodborne and hated it. If you want, I can sell you my PS4 with BB. I only played it for ~8 hours and then never touched it again.

But what I'd recommend is renting PS4. Google it if you can rent a PS4 in your city. You can in France for like 5 euros/week officially. Or maybe rent unofficially from some forum, or some unofficial service.

You can rent here but it's very expensive - 60 jewro a week, plus I'd have to buy the game ofc. Plus aren't you required to be subscribed to the Sony thingy for online play? Yeah....but I'll ask around for an inofficial rent.

Goddamn this exclusivity faggotry.

Yeah, you need Playstation Plus to play online, but Burbon's online is broken and not very popular (especially this long after release), so not much sense in paying for it.

Anyway if you decide to buy, you can take mine off my hands for 230 euros. It's black. There's burbon already installed on it (English version), which means you can play it on your account as well unless I'm mistaken. Original box, and all that. Bought it less than a year ago, so it wasn't one of the first wave PS4's, which means it has less chance of having hardware issues down the road.

If Sony confirms a PS4 Demon's Souls remaster and if the FF7 remake turns out good and if you still have it by that time and if we settle at 200 jewro I'll strongly consider it.

It's not worth It to buy a PS4 just for Bloodborne. But the whole last year I played just BB and Witcher 3 on It, and I'd say it was worth It. I got BB in a bundle with the console.

I bought my PS4 to play bloodborne, just as I bought my PS3 to play Demon's Soul.

Both of the games were worth buying a console just to play them.

Definitely in the same position as others here. I want to play Bloodborne but I can't really justify buying a PS4 for one game (I guess I could dick around and just play Madden too). I'm going to try and borrow a friend's PS4 and game when he goes on vacation. Seems like a better move than paying 400-450$ to play one game. Need to find a way to play Demon Souls too. Darn exclusives.

I have to say, replaying the game now, that there is real beauty in the design of some of the levels. And also I have now discovered the sense of some paths. For example, in Nightmare Frontier when you go on the cliff before the floating enemy who makes you insane, you can jump down to a ledge which is inaccessible otherwise, never coming in visual range of the enemy.

I really enjoyed discovering that there's actually a significant part of plot hidden in the Chalice Dungeons. Somehow, as I play more, I want to play the game even more, which at the beginning I doubted would happen. (And it didn't happen with DS 2.)

These two fuckers after the first boss of the expansion are infuriating, though.
