I have a problem with this game, too. It looks too beautiful :P
I’ll crank up the bloom - Oblivion-like. Would that solve the issue for you?
Fun aside, I actually find this to be a deep topic. I believe that games should be either realistic-looking or animated-looking. There's nothing wrong with not choosing a near-realistic look—apart from not being able to appease the angry kids and thus not being able to make enough money, that is :P It's just that a game should know where its place is. Best to stick with the animated-looking stuff if all you can do in the former is a half-assed, angular, semi-empty attempt. It's too bad that a large portion of developers (amateurs as well) don't see that. Or worse yet, they know of this but are forced to conform the as-near-to-realism-as-they-can-get stereotyped mongering.

But honestly, and without buttering it up, your game looks like one of the few that seem to blend and transcend both approaches.

It’s more like that I have finally found that sweet spot I was searching for all these years. I may yet tweak things here and there, but I am mostly working on missing systems, refining existing ones and working on content now. The art direction is close to where I want it to end up.
So how far a long are you? I know it's done when it's done, but...this year? Next year....this decade?

This decade is a fair assumption.

Wow, this is really looking beautiful! As a huge B@K fan I'm very pleased to see the progress of Call of Saregnar over the past few years, it's very impressive! Great work Rhuantavan, and good luck moving forward! I'm sure this will be a quick buy for me when it is eventually released!

I wonder if they had the budget for people in suits or puppets for the non-human creatures, always thought Stonekeep did that well.
Nope, the only budget we have is what comes from Patreon, which is not much, to be honest. For this last photoshoot, I brought all the clothing I purchased over the years, plus we bought some new ones and we clothed my friends' family and friends. We made also contact with the local reenactment people for another shoot that we plan for early 2025. For the non-human creatures we are 90% certain to go the CGI route.
Rhuantavan, is this full track available anywhere publicly? Seriously good stuff.
No, I'm sorry, but I'm sure Tony is planning another OST release in the future.

I don't think it matters, all the monsters in Might & Magic 6 were just 3d models rendered into sprites and they still looked great.

Is this gonna take more time than Grimoire? :negative:
I mean, I like Grimoire same as anyone who casually sacrifices all their plush animals upon a bloodied altar every full moon while chanting, "Ga-ha-rdhia, Tah'-r-ahng, Phoo-nah-zehang, Asteh-raahl Dah'-o-minahe!"...
So, may the thrice-blessed, all-mighty Mr. Blakemore forgive my heretical utterance, but he created something that seemed too complex for just one mortal (no matter how semi-divine they are). And it showed in the end...
Whereas Call of Sarengar (dammit, not again!) is being developed by several creators, and is a less complicated RPG (very likely not less fun, though).

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
We're on a very serious hunt for a publisher at the moment, which, if it goes through, will speed up development time considerably (me + others working on it full-time). Still, the game is far from finished, so please bear with me.
Please, don't go with Paradox whatever you do.

Finding publisher for a cRPG could be hard. What's your options? Owlcat? Kitfox? I don't think you're woke enough to fit with the crowd.
