I'm well up for this, looks groovy to me.

Only thing I'd like to see is the full party represented whilst travelling.
Screw it. I decided to see if my current code could handle it, and well... see for yourself! Apparently I had a lot of things in place that made this less complicated than I had anticipated.

Boom! Nice one. I much prefer that personally. Good work!

For those that dislike ____ games, I wish you all the best enjoying games that make you feel good.

We need more of that attitude among the developers.

The game looks nice, kind of like enlivened Natuk where combat is concerned. I hope the game mechanics aren't too "lite".

You can make a toggle in the options if it doesn't affect gameplay somehow. Always leave it to the player if possible. The same with bobbing animations some people here have decided to shit on - I like them, but if they want a retro experience with static characters, let them have it. Applies to walking animations and the game's overall speed (think Black Isle's Fallout) as well.

It's a little funny in the last scene - looks asif your party has more people in it that the whole town it's traversing.

I recently improved upon the trailing party feature. Character start and stop is smoother, and the party spreads to a closer position at the end.

I'll definitely be interested in buying a copy of this when it becomes available, posting so that I remember. I think it looks very good and admire your determination, LoreMaster to figure out by yourself and make a game entirely on your own. Truly an achievement to be proud of. I wish I could achieve a fraction of your success.

Okay this is already turning out better than I expected. Caves of Lore really could have used more marketing.

Did discover a minor bug though. When you scroll through the character menus, sometimes you lose the ability to exit out throuh ESC or I buttons.

Uh, okay, ran into a huge bug LoreMaster.

20 min into the game, I triggered some kind of sequence-breaking bug with Naira and fastforwarded to recruiting all available characters (despite them not actually showing up in the party) and finishing the game/deep progression.

Uh?!?!?!

Also dropped some pretty huge spoilers lol. I'm glad I don't get frustrated by that, but I'm sure a lot of people do.

I just did a worldrecord speedrun of your game, so there's that :smug:
