The first Mass Effect had decent sex scenes because they were quick flashes that didn't linger on polygonal humping cringe. At least I remember them being that way.
This is one of those advantages pirates have - they have a choice to rollback or never install the latest patch that breaks the game.Did they just downgrade the game with the new patch ? Lod got fucked hard even on the highest settings (and there is no easy ini edits like in the twitcher cause everything is hidden) Im done with this game see guys you when goty edition comes out with tons of mods (if they dont ban them). I had almost 0 pop in on 1.04 now shit is materializing before my eyes they are adding more trash to the fire
What's that meme that the Generation Zoom loves parroting these days? I made a quick test of this and it either doesn't work at all or works in specific circumstances which I can't reproduce. I tried driving down a boulevard and watch for billboards popping in. They were popping in at the same place with and without the mod. If you have any evidence of the mod working which you can confirm for yourself, go ahead.
Yes this apparently still works, though I don't know what value corresponds to what the release version of the game used. I'd rather not go above that for performance reasons. I guess just experiment with it.
People talking on Steam and upvoting each other on Reddit are apparently the last things you can consider a reliable confirmation.Lots of people talking about it in the patch threads on Steam and various other forums, but CDPR did not say anything about it to my knowledge so I guess it depends on what you consider "confirmation.
Finished the game. I liked the characters/story and I did get mileage of the game but it felt unfinished much in the same way like another game(a space sim) that was also incredibly hyped/delayed called Freelancer did back in 2003. Freelancer was basically promised to have all of these features/questlines and other stuff that was completely cut out once they had to ship the game. (Another reason to not fucking trust Chris Roberts with anything, I mean did you see the Wing Commander movie, jesus fucking christ what even was that)
But I liked the game much in the way I liked those kinda point in click story adventure titles. Honestly I think they need to make more linear story focused games and focus on that instead of attempting to make an overly ambitious open world title(Witcher 3 was already proof enough that they couldn't exactly handle those open world mechanics without serious limitations)
There's just something, besides the really great graphics and art design(Night City is probably the best looking city I've seen in a game of this type) that just screams early to mid 2000s to me in terms of game design and I can't fully articulate why that is.
Ultimately I would say to get this game once the issues have been ironed out and a few dlcs have been released and a few of the game systems have been retooled. I got this game on a sale so I'm not feeling the angry buyers remorse a bunch of redditors are feeling. Also i think the looter shooter mechanics are obviously to prep the game systems for the inevitable microtransaction-filled hellscape spinoff of this game that will eventually probably be co produced by tencent a year or two down the line.

I requested a refund with Steam after having played 25 hours. I like the game enough that I'll definitely buy it and play it, say, a year from now, but I'm not fucking with it now.
Requesting a refund to my steam wallet with 25 hours of playtime is a ballsy gambit. Will it pay off? I doubt it. I don't need the money or anything, I just decided I'm going to wait to play the game until it's in a better state so I thought I might as well try to get a refund to send a message.
Honest question, what problems are you having? I'm amazed how smooth my experience has been considering how many people are complaining.
How could this game have suffered from feature creep when the finished product has less features than what was promised in the earliest information about it?
My Gigs and Cyberpsycho missions are all messed up. I will get calls for completing the previous mission when I start a new one, then, after I've finished the mission, I'll get a new call opening the mission I just completed.
I got similar problem with Regina Jones, she sometimes not call me after finishing the mission and only when I start a new mission or doing something else, calls me out of the blue giving me my reward, tho I didn't get locked out of anything so far fortunately.
On artstation. There is a lot of cyberpunk stuff there now that the game is out, and artists are free to post their contributions. Some concept arts from 2013. Actually looks pretty similar to what we got, except that flying vehicles were more prevalent and technology was a bit more advanced.
*snip*
where did you find this? so much wasted potential it's incredible. i wish power armor was still in the game.
btw i just noticed there are lots of mods, clothing and consumables that give you things like "10% more oxygen underwater" or "can't be detected underwater" even though there is just a single mission that is underwater (with no combat at all).
cut content or deus ex 1 reference (because of how pointless the whole thing is)?
edit: there are also no exotics in the game as far as i know even though they were a big part of the original PnP. no bozos (evil clown gang and probably the most famous gang from the 2020 pnp), no brainiacs (they got teased in the 2018 trailer), they even cut the thermal katana that was in the tools of destruction trailer that came out 2 months ago.
CDPR outsources their character artwork so I don't know how much cutting that out would have helped. You could argue they could have relocated the budget on more gameplay devs, but then it would have been more helpful not to waste a shit ton of money on Keanu Reeves in the first place. How could this game have suffered from feature creep when the finished product has less features than what was promised in the earliest information about it?
I know you're joking, but wasting time on systems that don't make it into the final game is the most common problem of feature creep.
Like, did we really need all those cars and gun types, when half of them are basically the same thing? Also, the vast amount of clothing choices but only 10% doesn't look like shit.
Cut out what's not needed. I'm going to start applying this to my games as well.
Fuck playing games to have imaginary relationships. I don't even want relationships in real life, why the fuck would I want it in games? How is this not playing to some pathetic sense of loneliness in people? Disgusting.
Same thing that happened with Deus Ex: HR probably .. they started cutting everything out that wasn't finished or was going to be risky a couple of months before launch to get it out of the door. How could this game have suffered from feature creep when the finished product has less features than what was promised in the earliest information about it?

Planescape: Torment offers multiple possibilities for resolving its climactic encounter, but in every ending the Nameless One must accept that he can no longer prolong his mortal existence, and in most of them he faces a purgatorial afterlife of indefinite duration fighting in the Blood War. This is paralleled by the endings in Cyberpunk 2077, in which V accepts the impossibility of prolonging his/her ordinary life, with V's mind in V's body, but can either accept the termination of his/her existence or face an indefinite purgatory hoping for an eventual resurrection. This is not a hero power fantasy self-insert as in 99% of rpgs. Can anyone give me another example where an RPG made you feel so powerless against your own inevitable demise no matter how much you thrash against your fate?
"So long ladies, I'm gonna go kick some ass in Hell" does not feel very "powerless". I think the ending movie from PST misses a final scene with some demons saying "oh shit, i'm outta here"
