I just want to say that I don't think I have been so disappointed (disillusioned?) in a game company ever before.

You should have known better. Trust no dev, even the friendly ones on this forum who make banal porn games.

Itemization is...not good. Plenty of stuff but theres nothing to hold it together or make anything worthwhile. My favourite part so far is, leather pants armour 3.3 but a pair of basketball shorts armour 9.6. Can these nincompoops get fucked already what the hell hiw many years for this?

To be fair the itemization in Twitcher3 was complete MMO garbage, so not sure why you would expect this to be better?

I'm digging it. The game is everything I expected, both the good and the bad. From the quests, to kiddie-level itemization, to token RPG mechanics, to bad optimization.

please stop posting your cyberpeens as fps matters exactly zero and theres enough of them in the game. Soft lock it to 30 and let it go man. Has no effect whatsoever in any way and it works better at 30 with no input lag. Particularly the one muppet who has a 2070 on a 1680 screen, really man what's your problem.

Yeah I second that. I said earlier the game is fluid with ultra+RTX on, on my 1080p, 2070 laptop. Turns out it's "only" 40-50 fps, but how much of an impact it has it really depends from game to game. I.e. RDR2 anything below 50 fps looks like janky 20fps piece of shit, and all of the vsync options in-game or imposed are broken. Meanwhile Cyberpunk is nice enough even on 30.

I also have to dust off internals every couple of months because I see from experience, that my clogged laptop is gimped to 75% of its performance as of now. (I got a laptop instead of PC because I used to move a lot between places)

It's amazing how many people cant put two and two together. No matter how much you keep telling them in the pre-release thread, they still keep singing their song, and then act surprised.

Somebody remake this song for cdpr.

"I bought myself a monster rig I spend all of my cash to get 30 frames per second before I crash"

Arma doesn't count because their engine is wierd as shit and performance hinges entirely on single core CPU power. On my Ryzen 2600 i get 30 FPS on Arma 3 in Ultra and below 30 FPS on Operation Flashpoint (the 2001 game lol) with max drawing distance.

No power in the world can stop hype.

My excuse is that I bought it for... research.... so I can make my games shittier apparently.

Bullet sponginess getting worse again.
LMG uses up a huge amount of rifle ammo and just doesn't bring the damage.

I'm now at a point where I don't have any weapons I actually enjoy using :/
Everything is very Sawyerian... Get 10 new guns at the same level (I guess) and even though they're totally different types of weapons, they all have the same DPS...
Sniper headshots are alright due to high hs multiplier, and shotguns throw people around in hilarious ways... But my most damaging weapon is still some hammer I found and upgraded a bunch of times. Does like 300% of the dps of my guns.

Turn game to easy and equip no armor. You'll thank me later.

how is this fun? why does the driving literally feel worse than gta 3? why does just running around feel like i'm playing an early access version of pubg? it's that fucking stiff. i'd give the game a 6/10 at this point and i don't think i'm overly critical

Because you're playing an unfinished game, one that won't reach its full potential until six to 12 months from now, when the hype has died down and the devs can fix the problems. Look what happened with The Witcher 3.

I played Witcher 3 at launch and it was nowhere even close to being this bad. This is just shy of Fallout 76.

Probably even worse, because people didn't expect 76 to fix their marriages and bring dead dogs back to life.

What super-ambitious and mega-hyped games fulfilled the expectations? every time a game promises so much, it ends up in letdown.

2077's launch is bad, but it's not Fallout 76 bad.

Fallout 76 was a nuclear-grade meltdown, its cancerous reach getting worse as time passed. At least there's hope 2077 will improve down the line.

I'm sure CDPR will be trying to pull a No Man's Sky. I'm sure plenty of patches will coming down the line, but they shouldn't have released it so early (can't miss Christmas sales yo).

The thing about this industry is that nobody really cares about rep anymore. Only money matters.
