Take a look at this article, I think it presents the mainstream opinion vey well. In a nutshell, without the journo fluff:

• More character customization
• Police
• More types of map icons
• Enhanced vehicle and weapon modification
• New Game Plus

I imagine CDPR will take cues partly from player feedback and from player/media reviews on what the public is missing most. It doesn't seem at all likely missing quest reactivity will be scripted retroactively into the missions, or if the gigs were interdependent, or fixer relations and relationships functioned as a system, that these things will be retroactively patched in.

I agree with this assessment. The story is mostly done, as far as player reception goes. If I look at the achievements (GOG), nearly three quarters of the players did The Heist, half played the Hellman mission, 40% the one with the VooDoo Boys. A third actually finished Panam's quests, while Judy and River crossed the 20%, just a sliver behind the number of players who reached at least one story ending (22.1%). Although I expect the latter numbers to still rise, I don't see much value for the company to put resources into quest interactivity, at least not regarding the main quest. Gigs and fixers are for open world world play, and there you don't want to have too much interactivity, as players tend to forget who was who if they only play a mission a day or something like that.

I suspect they cut the AI because of performance issues. I don't see any way for them around fixing that to some degree though, if they really want to go for a multiplayer game. At the moment, this deters potential players.

I would be immensely happy if at least street cred is rebalanced and inserted as a blocking requirement so that gigs become available gradually instead of all at once. If we get a number of UI improvements like the ability to turn off undiscovered map icons like in Witcher 3, that would also be a big help and will genuinely improve gameplay. Currently many people just can't stop themselves chasing after exclamation mark icons and burn themselves out. The fact that you have to be on foot to get the call from the fixer is a good idea, though it makes little in-game sense, it can be utilized to the effect that the player would only be offered these side missions if he is exploring on foot, which suggests more leisurely.

I thought street cred is already used as gate for gigs? Missions unlock according to street cred tier (1-4). The problem seems to be that you get there much more quickly than what makes sense.
The unlock system definitely needs some overhaul, but there is one in place. Which may also explain why only 3% of players managed to even clear Watson.

The question is how much free DLC they will drop? They may drop free little new gigs especially before the first major DLC as damage control but based on Witcher 3 free DLC, I dont expect much here, maybe they feel pressured to invest a bit more on the free DLC but I dont think they changed their plans for the DLC that much. Maybe they decide to drop the free DLC right before the first bigger DLC to create hype for it and create a narrative of they having learned their lesson and are cool again so normies consume product again?

Its guaranteed they will drop a 'FreeLC' early on, to try and claw back the 'we are the good guys' reputation. It could just be filler and cosmetics though, anything major will be paid.
