Holy smokes, guys, a car went around me! Okay, okay... So, some asshole cut into my lane, not giving way, clipped my back wing and sent me careening towards the wall. Like any self-respecting gentleman, I drove up in front of him, stuck my car across the lane, figured I'd get out and..."exchange insurance details", if you know what I mean. And then, the most amazing fucking thing happened... he turned the wheel
and drove around me in the next lane! I was so stunned I didn't even chase him down.
In related news, I haven't seen cars stuck in the street in this little time I've been horsing around. They still break for a wank at stop lights and they'll pause in the middle of the road sometimes, but seem to resume driving quickly enough. Though, yes, NPCs still get frustrum-culled before I get to run them over with their own inconsiderate vehicles.
Various graphical glitches have plagued this game since the 1.2 patch. Smoke still flickers after a few minutes, kneel down next to a rock or other irregularly-shaped object and the landscape in the distance at that exact angle gets all distorted.
The game is still a mess.
For what it's worth, this seems to be a very particular glitch with DLSS and Ray-Traced Reflections. Turning either off makes the problem go away. I don't recall ever seeing this before, curious little bugger. More generally, I think my image is ever-so-slightly crisper at the expense of RTX precision, but I'm not sure if it's that new DLSS Sharpening config or I'm just imagining things.
- Unless I'm crazy, some of the game's audio has subtly changed. Walking around in boots, for example, produces a predictable heel-to-hard-surface sound, but they mixed in an occasional little squeek that is exceedingly irritating.
Thanks, Crispy, now I can't unhear it.
