The main character in the novel, he wasn't really a tough macho guy, more like a net dork

Case was actually near death and malnutritioned which is confirmed by the Shopping Expedition part of the book. He turns down Molly's lunch/breakfast She replies that real food ain't cheap. Being a cyberspace cowboy he became less interested in food and more interested in the high that decking gave him. I would say case should look body wise similar to Christian Bale in The Machinist.

DO NOT VALIDATE FILES ON STEAM

So, my 1.5GB download wouldnt install, said it would take over a year despite being downloaded already. I restarted my PC to give it a nudge, and then it said the download files were missing. I had no option to re-download.

So, I tried validating the game files, and it said 37 were missing. It then started downloading 58GB. The whole game.

And guess what's best?

My 28HRs of gameplay are gone.

Hats off CDPR, didnt know you had taken on the worst practices of Bethesda and Ubisoft for this one.

•Found a woman being threatened by 3-4 gang members. She repeatedly screamed “why are you doing this!” as they sat there and... did nothing to her. Well as any good person would do I shot these no good criminals for the kind lady. She continued to crouch and hold her head anyway, guess she couldn’t be bothered to look up and see that she was safe now.

•Saw this couple with their arms around each other, how cute. However, the boyfriend’s fave was literally so appalling that I felt an unreal amount of hatred towards him. So as any sane individual of night city would do... I shot him. And then as I ran around the area in circles dodging the onslaught of police spawning 2 feet behind me, I saw that the woman was still holding the same position with her arm around the air. That’s what I call dedication.

•Had a woman walk straight through my car, holograms must be getting realistic.

•Saw a guy fall from the sky and straight through the floor. Must have had an express ticket to hell.

•Shot outside of my apartment while testing sensitivity settings. Walked out to the main area to see 30 npcs crouching in the same position.

•Had a child demand food from me but continued walking away before I could even give the sweet kid a candy bar.

•Found some homeless men being beaten up by some gang members, and after clearing the gang members out I could still hear the ghost of one screaming insults at me.

•Had 2 cops open fire on me after crashing my bike, at least this game has realism.

Honestly, I can’t see why people are hating on the AI in this game. Seems to work fine to me

How the fuck does this make it past basic play testing?

All junk items are at best 3-5 eddies which is nothing. And you get in return common components which you can sell for wait for it 3-5 eddies. So yeah it makes sense. Just some sperglord sperging out.

Btw in case you think skill choices matter they don't. Max Level is 50 enough to max out 3 Attributes your choices are mostly do you play tall or wide but that's about it.
I'll also say that knockbacks are OP. It breaks the AI so bad that they just stop shooting at you entirely.

Some of the little side-quests are actually quite cool.

I just did a gig from some random dude in Afterlife to go to an abandoned old slum area by the water and find something in a fridge among the shacks there, it turned out to be a Japanese surgeon who'd "accidentally" killed a gang boss and smuggled himself out of danger in the fridge, because the gang were still hunting him. Kevin ( ), the guy who gave me the job, hadn't told me any of that, so I had to lug this semi-conscious guy to a car for delivery to Kevin and safety, while occasionally putting him down and dispatching gang members looking for him. Naturally I was a bit pissed off with Kevin and the Jap, but I was mollified when they gave me a very nice katana for my troubles

Witcher 3 got me unprepared. I was expecting red dead redemption with swords, but it somehow provided solid main / side quests, had great presentation and interesting characters.

Now this is proper trash. Proper GTAV being outsourced to a Polish company.

At best you'll be able to build a likeminded team of 5 people who can make a mod for Deus Ex over 10 years.

At worst you'll get 10% through replicating Liberty Island in Unity or something and give up.

Give them a year to fix this shit and you will get a good game for 20 dolla, right now its not worth playing at least on my shitty pc, the world design is great though and its gonna be worth 20 dolla just to walk around the city and take screenshots, they need to fix the bugs and their shitty ai first though and thats gonna take time.
