I assume that to fire better weapons etc. you will have either watch out for stamina or mod yourself to support better guns.

Well fuck.

On one hand, adding customizable systems to an RPG should be laudable. On the other, I actually liked the gunplay best when it didn't involve any RPG mechanics.

I can probably deal with extra reticle sway, but I swear to God, if they give stamina out states an artificial miss chance on every shot...
my money is on recoil, movement and reload speed.
Basically like firing problem solver on full auto in worst case scenario?

I'm actually hyped by what people that played the demo are saying, they rolled a lot of mods into the base game. My hope is just to mostly have cosmetics/UI mods and not need 100 bug fix+ overhaul mods

Not just mods, they literally used MY IDEAS. That armor rework is word to word implementation of my idea that I posted on their forums and reddit after some big update for Cyberpunk has dropped. I expect that they used my idea for progression improvements as well, since they were in the same post and they are talking about some progression changes.
Basically clothes will be visual now, I think that they might remove the wardrobe feature. Armor stat will be handled through Cyberware and it'll be more streamlined -- but in a good way.

Why are you angry then? Shouldnt you be happy for them listening to feedback?

I'm not angry, I find it funny. Their gameplay department is getting better slowly but surely.

Also it seems that Sawyer gave them some feedback while streaming the game but that was a while ago.

the retarded NPCs wouldn't have been as bad if they made the game an instanced MMO like Fallout 76 or W_D 1 invasions

It makes complete sense for C77. If you could aug your arms and torso in real life soldiers wouldn't be firing auto 5.56 but auto .50cal from shoulder.

i'm curious if Phantom Liberty has quests that are affected by the ingame clock. it's pretty obvious the base game was supposed to occur in real time but that got thrown out the window when they had to ship early. having to choose between gigs because the timer is counting down would be really interesting

do you think there will be cool bugs after allowing vehicle combat?
Like using rocket boost.
Or pairing with mantis blades/that new waikiki katana on the bike to teleport forward while you ride it

The announced improvements to the base game are so vast that I won't bother to finish my current corpo playthrough, hacking was too ridiculously overpowered anyways.

My Cyberpunk wish list:

- Community tools for player created gigs and side jobs
- Controllable drones
- Rail transit
- Personal AVs
- Economy expansion/ rework (i.e. you can make money from making BDs or as a Media personality, or transporter/ driver, not just a merc)
- More interesting things to spend credits on
- Hireable/ permanent companions/ robots
- Actually playable purchased BDs
- Death Stranding-like multiplayer Strand type interactions
- Limited pvp areas like 1v1 cage fights with no OS, team battleground/ guilds, vehicle racing, parkour/ capture the flag
- Ungimped enemy netrunners
- Enemies can perform stealth takedowns/ aerial takedowns/ dismemberment
- Less mob enemies more high threat enemies
- Better enemy detection/ stealth rework
- Magnetic boots
- Magnetic boobs
- Drug addiction system
- Enemy cyber animals
- Gas weapons
- Grappling hooks
- VR
- Voice command controls

I know I'm preaching to the choir here (or am I?) and that many reading this will react with meh, but imagine how much better games like this would be had they not had to be utterly dumbed down for consoles.

Technically, tactically, narratively, visually, it would all be superior from the get-go.

I've started calling it the SDG Syndrome.

Technically, yeah. Although the main problem was probably trying to chase PS4/Xbone, if they had just gone PC and current consoles there wouldn't have been as much trouble.
Tactically, narratively, the PC audience is basically the same level of decline as the console audience at this point. Its a mainstream game with a big budget, and whether it be PC or Console it shall pursue the lowest common denominator with glee.

Well, that's almost my whole point. PC-only users are very likely, in my opinion and estimation, to be more intelligent and dare I say sophisticated compared to console gamers. The floor would be raised higher and, thus, also likely, so would the ceiling.

But it's all a moot point anyway.

You disagree and you cite this reason, but maybe you didn't grow up seeing this industry rise from its inception then descend to its current state of being like I have.

Trust me, the entry point for PC gaming used to be much higher. Only the smart kids had PCs or Apples or C64s, while the drooling morons all had their Ataris and eventually their... *shudder* NES's.

You are absolutely correct- back then. But the key point is used to. At this point any joe has been able to operate a computer for a generation, and the barrier is long gone.

The future is now, old man. Any schmuck can assemble or even buy a prebuilt PC and play whatever AAA unoptimized slop they want with zero effort other than the money they might invest. There's a reason each new iteration of windows looks more and more like a phone app.
