Your ignore list.
ITT the Codex forgets all the broken promises made by CDPR prior to CP2077's launch, and believe the lies that bugs were the only issue with the game.

I guess that's what happens when you quietly remove the RPG from the game description a couple of months before release.

I played it without any issues and so did Crispy. I don't know anyone with a high end PC that had issues. All games have some bugs Cyberpunk was not more buggy than average for me or anyone else I know who had a modern rig full of parts from current or last gen.
This was my experience too, I played it on upper/mid-range 2019 hardware and I didn't encounter many technical problems. Aside from the memory management's NPC culling, which is an engineering implementation that's just not fit for purpose. It ran fine, mostly, it was just a very shallow and disappointing gameplay experience.

This isn't entirely fair since the game's mechanics are apparently being overhauled as well. They do recognize they weren't good enough.
I fear people are setting themselves up for disappointment again. Yeah, some of the balance and random encounter overhauls sound good and should make for a better game, but it'll still be a far cry from the "Bethesda Game™ with Good Writing™" we all wanted.

Honestly, I've grown rather tepid on the whole affair. Starfield's supposed to have a "cyberpunk" city, maybe I'll get my fix there.

I haven't forgotten anything. As I clarified, I'm judging the release vs today's state of the game in technical terms only, when I said it was only a clusterfuck on old gen-consoles. I thought what I meant was plainly evident from the context, because how would the game differ between platforms except purely technically, but anyway.

The only "lie" I remember was apartments. Which is obviously in the game now. Customizable cars is always brought up, but that's a misconception as the dev mentioned vehicle variances which were in the game. As for removing RPG from the description; that was only on Twitter because some Poindexter in marketing thought Twitter would be averse to RPGs.

Now that I think of it I COMPLETELY agree with you! Those bastard pollacks teased the greatest romance in videogame history, it was the first one they officially announced! Then they pulled a bait and switch and made it into a one night stand. Hitler was right.

Feel free to refute me in writing.

i exceeded the minimum specs, and my experience with cp has been my worst ever, bugs everywhere and crashes even every 5 seconds.
Did you play it from an HDD? My experience was much like King Crispy's. The only problem I had was seeing through the corpo starter office building before the day 1 patch, and losing audio after an 8 hour play session and having to restart to get it back. Other than that the game was actually more stable than 1.5 which ruined LODs and lost me 5 fps for some reason.

actually i just realized that the main reason cyberpunk was fucked up on consoles was probably not CDPR spaghetti code but the fact that some people were running the game off HDDs

As more games raise their texture resolutions to keep up with "modern graphics" asset streaming will continue to show how outmoded HDDs are in comparison to SSDs. I wonder how long it'll take before SATA is pushed to the side for NVMe.

So, gents, if this is going to be the "definitive" Cyberpunk 2077... does that mean the game's spent 11 years in development? Must be fun at highschool reunions:

"Wow, Bob, ain't seen you in like a decade, are you still with NASA?"
"Oh, no, put that satellite in orbit and then left for SpaceX to work on reusable rockets. Just recently moved to Blue Origin, actually. What about you?"
"Eh, you know, that Cyberpunk videogame."
"Ah, the sequel?"
"No."
"Well, I am still a moderator at this crpg forum"

I did, and I had basically no crashes or other problems directly after the release. You just need to lower graphics quality and everything is fine! My 1050Ti wasn't up for high anyway and to me it looked good enough on medium...

I don't remember CDPR ever concentrating on the CP77's qualities as a game, outside of the vague "live in Night City, become V" talk. They've been marketing it as an "interactive movie" that progresses based on your controller inputs.

Cool, and which year is this from? Oh, 2012. :)
So they had enough time to deliver what they promised. "Not enough time" is not an excuse in this case.
They also never went back on this promise. I don't remember such an announcement.
In case you don't know, design goals change over the course of a production
lol

Bruh, they were full of shit. I'm still mad that I cheaped out and bought a key from some Hong Kong store (it was 50 PLN cheaper) and couldn't refund this garbage. I'm amazed that so many open world games still can't do basic shit that Mafia games (1 and 2), Rockstar and Bethesda been doing decades ago.

Doesn't creating a girl with a schlong count as "incredible character customization"?

From a cursory glance 90% of that list is bullshit. I'd autistically go through and cite sources, but I think there's enough autism in the post itself.

To a redditor? One would assume.

CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT

Now I'm curious, is it specified anywhere if modded individuals can get or have problems becoming pregnant? It's weird that tube test baby factories aren't a part of this setting when if you listen to the radio about every other dystophian trope is there. Even vampires for some reason.

Neuromancer had a vampire gang and Rafastari. The inclusion of vampires and um... the Voodoo Boys feel like homages to that in the Cyberpunk setting (as well as the loa from Count Zero).
