CD projekt is the most DEI company (even more than Bioware) according to a dev.

I can believe it. The absolute industrial grade cringe of the Myers character in Phantom Liberty is quite the experience. Not many game characters have my eyes rolling from literally the first second they appear.
Meyers is not a girlboss. She's a terrible human being and almost a villain of that story.

Yeah, I was prepared for a lot of girlbossing going into the base game and then later on, in the expansion. But there's almost zero in the base game, which quite frankly I found to be a far superior story overall to Witcher 3's--primarily in terms of pacing, but also in terms of tone and emotional complexity. And if we're talking girlboss moments, then there's no contest: Witcher 3 is vastly worse.

Phantom Liberty's storyline is worse than the vanilla game's on all fronts, but Meyers-as-girlboss isn't a problem. Songbird is a bit obnoxious, in the sense that the game seems to take her side to an unwarranted degree; she's clearly meant to be sort of a tragic waifu archetype, which struck me as dischordant; everyone involved is a monster. It's been awhile since I played Cyberpunk; my memory's fuzzy on the details, but I remember wishing there was an option to side against all of them.

In the end, I think the only halfway sympathetic character is Reed (not a woman). But really, the problem with Phantom Liberty is structural--there's way too much fucking talking and the railroaded "cinematic" sequences are dialed up to 11. Phantom Liberty doubles down on what are IMO the worst aspects of the base game, and thus I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really a sucker for CDPR's style of narrative content.

Haven't finished PL yet, but that sniper section is a prime example. Idiotic, obnoxious shit to not have checkpoints, and if you try to deviate too much from the intended railroaded sequence it's an auto fail. I managed to shoot two of the gonks out of sequence at least.

Ciri is only lesbian because he was coercedly raped by dyke. In last book upon finally seeing normally looking man she wets her panties.
Yeah. A lot people forget she was essentially raped by a woman. It was NOT a healthy and entirely (or at all, really) consensual relationship.

but of course you can! when birdie unlocks your chakras, you can simply... walk away. She will stay on comms, keep swearing, then they all die after some time and quest is failed. Not sure if you can enter stadium though

I'm of two minds about the woke stuff in the game so far. On the one hand, the tranny dude was so clumsily handled it literally made me laugh out loud when he mentioned his gender transition. Also, he's completely emotionally unstable - so much so that it stands out even in a game full of lunatics; the Sampson guy he hates is a more sympathetic character. Plus that, along with everything else in the setting that could be considered woke, is depicted in the light of a completely degenerate, dystopian future society, so it's not exactly portrayed in a positive way.

On the other hand, there are way too many tough chicks running things all over the city - most of the fixers for example. I'm far from finished with the game, and I'm already at the point where, every time I meet one, I sign and think, "Oh, another one." I'd keep Wakada and Panam, and swap all the others to a more believable sex.

fixers in general are boring. Wakako is great, I liked hands before voice change in dlc... thats about it. Gender of fixers doesnt matter, they lack personality. Car selling dude got something going on but delivery is lacking, perhaps he could be salvaged as I dig this whole 90s bazaar salesman thing.

Police/journalist lady is the worst. She got most quests, at the same time its like if her lines were recycled.

You loose out on the main quest of the dlc you can still do all the dlc gigs for Mr hands and explore the whole dogtown. Best option if you want to fuck everyone is

to betray Songbird and kill her at the end so Reed and Myers are cucked too.

On the other hand, there are way too many tough chicks running things all over the city - most of the fixers for example

Fixers are actually perfectly balanced as josh sawyer would have wanted:

Whamen: Rogue, Regina Jones, Wakako, Dakotha Smith.
Men: Mr Hands, Padre, El Capitan, Dino Donovic, Dexter DeShawn.

Welp, finished Phantom Liberty.

Got the "poetic" ending I guess. Helped Songbird, despite seeing her lie coming from the moment she suggested the "cure". Shot the loyal hound Reed in the head. Got some satisfaction from fucking that cuntbag Myers over too. Also Alex survived, which is good because she is the one character that isn't conniving or two-faced (despite literally having other faces, lel). But really, feels like any choice in this expansion is a shit sandwich.

I looked up the new ending where V is cured, and that's pretty lame too. Losing all that hard-won chrome? Nuh-uh.

I must have a bad memory I don't remember any of these people
Whatever, the one that gives you the cyberpsycho missions, in Watson, lives near the moxes' club.

Regina Jones. Even her name is boring and forgettable. I had to look it up.
Another questline that could have been developed and interwoven with other secondary questlines in the manner that Witcher 3 did it. No one can convince me they wanted to release this game in terms of narrative.

Who?
I guess he means the bartender from Afterlife. If you go car racing with her,
she reveals to you she's a trans woman and asks you to help her take revenge on a killer of her husband. However later it appears it's more complicated than that - the guy died during car races and it's not obvious that he was murdered - it might have simply been an accident. Plus, you even have an opportunity to backstab her and are rewarded for it.

Are there any mods out there that remove the bullet sponginess of the enemies, and improve itemization?
