Lol, I was watching Josh' stream. He goes to fight the "one mind - two bodies" NPC. It calls him a bitch. Josh suddenly assumes a very serious face expression and says "Cool it with the misogynistic slurs, thank you". I can't make out if he was serious but if yes, this looks like the result some MKULTRA-level brainwashing.

yeah there's never been any value in upsetting or unsettling a viewer. never ever. not once.

Just to invoke even more despair, a reminder:

So, it this the game you're playing?

This simply adds more ammunition to my "the direction of the game was completely changed during pre-production" narrative.

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
How does this shit make any sense at all? How do you heal by hiting people with gauss guns? How do you not get hurt by grenades that blow up right under your ass? Tell me! TELL ME!!!

*puts on hipster M'Lady Science is fucking awesome hat! and pulls out neckbeard*.

So you see, the gaussian stream are charged particles. What you don't know is that the particles open a direct connection with the user and target because of the smart link in the user's hand which conducts particles IN BOTH DIRECTIONs for the fraction of a second when the beam is fired. Therefore! Energy can also transfer using the Reverse Polarity Nanotechwhich will pull some energy from the user and use it to power the healing nanites at the source of the directed energy blast. Likewise our grenades use the same Nano-tech to selectively deactivate energetic reactions (read: explosions) that are in the neighborhood of the actual grenade user.

*removes outfit*

You can throw fireballs in D&D out of your hands, this is 'techno-magic' fuckery, you are waaaaaaaay overthinking this, just FYI.

Yeah ! this game is a joke, and don't come with the excuse "BuT is A RpG !!!" just because it's a RPG doens't mean the world needs to be dead and devoided of any detail. Fuck ! Fallout New Vegas, Gothic and even Oblivion/Skyrim has better world NPCs than this game, GTA 3 has better traffic A.I and wanted system than this game.

While I am all about trashing games that fall down a rabbit hole of leftist horseshit, if you read the source material (full disclosure, I read this decades ago) the game actually hews fairly closely to it. The USSR is painted as a socialist utopia (at least up front), America is a declining shithole, the Japanese are resurgent, and so on. Communist iconography is all over the place.

Did source material restrict you to negro voices, mentionening of "fascists" and being able to fuck somewhat dcent girl oly of you are lesbian?

Apparently, side quests change how many endings you can get.

Can anyone confirm there is a clearly identifiable point of no return ?

D&D has some half assed explanations for how fireballs work in every edition, usually involving the wizards drawing the stuff straight out of the elemental plane of fire. D&D isn’t even very good at explaining its bullshit when compared to Shadowrun or Glorantha/Runequest with their coherent and easy to understand principles and rules of magic. Bitterspunk 2069 has nothing, not even your bullshit.

You mean like in every other open world game ? I mean the same thing happens in GTA. 77 "problem" is that spawning distance is pretty close compared to rest, mostly due to world being just dense not having "every road is highway" problem..

No, it doens't. I don't know about GtA V and Red Dead 2 but in older games a random wandering cop needs to spot you first, they don't just spawn immediately on you.

I think older GTA games had a threshold on how much carnage you could commit in a secluded spot before the cops eventually spawned. If a wandering cop saw you though, or if you attacked one, that was an immediate wanted star. I think GTA V works broadly the same way (see: killing animals in the wilderness increasing Wanted level) but with addition of NPCs actually calling the police on their mobile phones if they see you committing crimes.

Probably some guy in a suit politely explained to them that a dark and honest RPG is not where games are going and that they need to hire a celebrity to sell it properly. Then the reptilian sticked out his tongue to check his environment and turned back on his chair to further study his Excel data.

YEAH man they should have had the racing gameplay of forza, openworld ai of gta, level design of Deus ex and system shock, shooting as crisp as in cod and storytelling like in witcher 3 and the game should have been 40 dollars.

Actually they were developing it with multiple houses, cars modding and other stuff but they run out of time. No doubt they will add it later with expansions/online mode.

speaking of NuDeus Ex and 77. I noticed that 77 is better at being NuDeusex than NuDeusEx. Simply because it is more systemic and less railoady. At least from my experience with NuDeuxExes it was obvious that there was always hacking and stealth roads. Here there are "hints" of "roads" but most of the time they don't provide you full linear paths like in NuDE and you have to mix and play with systems. Moreover game doesn't provide such routes if there isn't logical reason for it which forces you to get creative with what you have. Game does include pretty decent parkour so you can definitely get creative with how you approach some missions.

On other hand in some locations it feels more like MGS5 type of gameplay than NuDE. Especially in badlands where you often can aproach from any side mission objective. So for example i had to extract some NPC from enemy camp and it basically played like MGS5, Reco, find route, figure out where to not go and find way out.

Start of the game looks bad though when it comes to cone of view for npcs, they are basically blind as mole rats and it takes way to much time for them to spot you for real. It improves a lot later on with cone view that could actually spot you from afar but that also highly depends on NPC. Snipers and elites can spot you easily but low level grunts are pretty easy to get around.

Also i really love that you do not actually need to use "crouch to stealth" which is so fucking overused and stupid in almost every game outthere with stealth and treats stealth as some "mode" you switch on off. You can easily just walk and you get around 90% of crouch stealth. You do need to use it when you want to get behind someone to get their neck.

As of netrunning gameplay it is pretty good. You get some decent options and later on game also doesn't sleep as breaching becomes a bit more complicated, costs are up and enemies are divided sometimes in 2-3 networks instead of one, moreover time to quickhack someone significantly increases forcing you to focus on one - two targets rather than on all of them i also noticed that sometimes hacks fail but idk the reason is. Investing a lot early in netrunning made game much easier but now i am having trouble taking on harder stuff that i could previously.

I am more fascinated with anyone who expected more from this game lol. Can we grab lunch and discuss what excited you about the early footage?

Human Revolution and Mankind Divided are stealth-centric games. That's why the devs heavily incentivize it with big EXP rewards. Combat is better understood as a quasi failure state like in Metal Gear Solid.

Here we have one instance of who the lead artist is, but ironically this is one of the aspects the game is most praised about.
Which to prise in it?
Every time I see characters in game - on pics that is - they all looks like a FAGGOTS.
Have you noticed that clothing in game is like that mostly?
Yeah, no agenda at all.
