It's always been one of the best feelings of power and progression in a Gothic game when an enemy used to effortlessly dominate you, then you come back a few levels later and bully it right back.

I just cleared that sea cave that i talked earlier about, second half of the cave had scroll of shadowbeast transformation. Its my second now because i cleared also that cave with 3 shadowbeast near renegades hideout and it had one.

Have any of you collected the bounty on the molerat "Fatty"? It's supposedly attacking people on the road between the city and Valerio's vineyard. I've checked all paths (direct road, indirect road, forest/cave path) and some surroundings without any luck.

Its a cave/tunnel near that canyon near Bodowin. Its near the entrance from the city side, and cave itself is full of goblins and there are few ores of iron laying there.

You can also scale the cliffs on the road between valerio's vineyard and the city, and end up on a ridge overlooking the area where Fatty spawns. Ideal cheese opportunity for ranged characters.

It is in the cave,you could enter it by going left when coming from the village/alchemist hut and toward the city,when you get to the big open part with the campfire,opposite of it is small ledge you could go on and enter a cave. At the other end of it is fatty. It is easier to get it if you fallow the road toward the winery from the city and when you begin hiking go right in to niche that leads to the other end of the cave and fatty is before the cave entrance. It is harder to explain.

I know this is a sacrilige and all, but is there a way to play Gothic 2 (and this mod in particular) with Xbone controller? I don't have a monitor and table setup anymore.

There are definitely some 3D party programs that map keyboard presses to gamepad, something should be possible for mouse as well.
Anyway, found this. I haven't tried it, but it seems legit.

That's the quest where you have to arrange a shipment for the bandits in a swamp cave.

This game is much better than any gothic game story wise it's good till the end. Gothic games always had rushed endings and final acts there are barely any side quests in chapter 5 and 6 in Gothic 1 and 2, Here all the chapters have enough content and side quests and the ending is really good.

Not only that you get ending slides for your choices in quests something that doesent exist in Gothic 1 and 2 which are linear as fuck in the ending chapters.

For me this is a better game than the originals.

That's the quest where you have to arrange a shipment for the bandits in a swamp cave.

Yeah, I just killed them with AoE spells. If you are not a mage you can run away, wait for them to drop aggro and then lure them out one by one.

The city guard has a side quest or two down there but the screams and stuff are all just a spooky red herring.

You can explore Castle of the the Sons of the wolf earlier, in the corner where wall and mountain connects there is quite large stone, jump on it and then jump on the neighbouring rock shelf, just one jump more and you are on the wall. Then you can sneak around huts and get dragon root that grows near certain sad hidden man.

No need,just go talk to the bar owner and you will get free prostitute.

Also there is some beast growing in certain part of the sewer,won't be surprised if there is some secret thing in there.



Speaking of secrets,behind the cemetery chapel in the city,on the other side of the wall there is an elevated place with fountain or a water fall don't remember exactly,you could move trough it and there is a hidden room with some goodies.

He says you can sell them in the city for a much better price he sells them for 100 gold and when you check their price in inventory its 1000. I bought 11 of them for 1,1k gold all he had. When I got to town they turned out to be made from basic iron and painted over and are worth 1 gold each. Fucker scammed me for 1,1k gold

One thing I never paid a great deal of attention to (as I always had a million of them in the inventory), but do pickaxes break out in the wild? I know they do in the gold mine.

No, but there's a longstanding gothic bug where any item with a custom animation might disappear when you go to put it back in your pack afterward, so they (along with fishing rods, blacksmith's hammers, etc.) vanish sometimes.
