Is there a list somewhere of what the benefits of the different apprenticeships are?
It's not obvious to me what carpentry does. Or butcher for that matter. Bowyer was in G2, but you can already give her skins for good price even without apprenticeship, so I don't know if it would apply. Is there a list somewhere of what the benefits of the different apprenticeships are?
Nigga it is pretty obvious.
Choice and consequence indeed.XD I bet on Kylid and gave him all items but because during training fight i took his weapon he lost.
Adding to this, you also get capstone rewards from your first master when you "graduate" as their apprentice and gain the ability to pick a second. For the alchemist you get a 500% strength permapotion that's based on your character, no idea what the other ones get. Some preliminary information for aprentiships:
- Bowmaker:
- you sell skins for 50% of value instead of 25% like non-apprentices (or 15% at other traders)
- you can sell her one each of the crafted bows & crossbows for 50% of value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- she trains you for free in bowmaking (presumably to lvl 3 if first master, lvl 2 if second master)
- has increased stock for sale (some recipes at least)
- Smith:
- you can sell him one each of the crafted 1h & 2h weapons for 50% of value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- he trains you for free in smithing (presumably to lvl 3 if first master, lvl 2 if second master)
- has increased stock for sale (some recipes at least)
- Alchemist:
- you can sell him crafted or found mana and health regeneration potions for 50% of value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- has increased stock for sale (+1 each of permanent potions at first, don't know if it increases with chapters)
- he trains you for free in alchemy (presumably to lvl 3 if first master, lvl 2 if second master)
- Locksmith:
- you can sell him jewelry (silver or gold plates, cups, caskets etc) for 33% of value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- you can sell him harvested or found wood for weapons at 100% value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- teaches lockpicking for free
- Butcher
- teaches basic alchemy and some trophy skills for free (i think, he said he does but i don't know because i already had them when i spoke to him)
- you can sell him crafted or found fried meats for 50% of value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- you can sell him raw meats or fat for 100% of value instead of 15% like non-apprentices
- has increased stock for sale (+1 alchemy ingredients for permanent potions and some foods with permanent bonuses, don't know if it increases with chapters
What does 500% strength permapotion mean? A permanent statup potion that's 5 times stronger than usual? (so +15 strength instead of +3)?Adding to this, you also get capstone rewards from your first master when you "graduate" as their apprentice and gain the ability to pick a second. For my mage, it was +25 mana (up from +5), so yeah. What does 500% strength permapotion mean? A permanent statup potion that's 5 times stronger than usual? I just sold the wine to the guy who had 20 bottles of wine for sale and that was all that i needed.Any idea how to do that "For Connoisseurs" quest in the city?
The Merchant's Guild leader tells you to "drop off" some spoiled wine at a trader that sells wine.
I found only two traders in the entire city selling wine (one at the harbor, another in some random street called "Miscellaneous Trader" or sth like that).
Tried dropping the item around their stores - nothing.
Tried selling them the spoiled wine - nothing.
Is that quest bugged or is the quest description just crap?
If it is build dependent maybe your build is throwing the logic off.notpl
By the way, I have no idea what you are talking about when you say that the alchemist artisan gives you a super potion once you finish his quest line. I've completed it, he allowed me to become an apprentice for another master, but I did not recieve any potion from him.
Weird. Probably a bug, then.I just sold the wine to the guy who had 20 bottles of wine for sale and that was all that i needed.
It could be different bottle, look for spoiled wine bottle,it is roundish and i think orangeish.Weird. Probably a bug, then.I just sold the wine to the guy who had 20 bottles of wine for sale and that was all that i needed.
Not that it matters, cause I lost my bottle anyway. I reloaded some save and it was gone, not to be found at any merchant, either. Oh, well....
If you want to know who was the smaller "man" kindaping your bro read this (Chapter 6 spoilers)Also, one of his men - Sach or Salch, whatever his name was, the one you meet at the graveyard during investigation quest, while trying to get the crossbow bolt. He was the one who assisted Big Ben with kidnapping, right? The archmage refers to him as a pale and skinny man, which fits the description that the sentries and Big Ben give to you, Salch even says that Martin looks familiar to him, which only further raises suspicion that it was indeed him. So Volker had a hand in Jon disappearance, I guess that it was very likely that he personally wrote that order for kidnapping.
The way I see it, there are many checks that indicate him to be the actual antagonist. I would be very surprised if I am wrong about this one.

Keep visiting him and selling him things, it might not happen till chapter 5 or something.notpl

I played all the Gothic games and loved them and I have downloaded this game but havent played it yet
Is it better to wait for the first update\patch, I dont mind a few technical issues but I prefer waiting for any game to be relatively stable and or completed ?
But i haven't seen any change from all those patches. Did anyone else saw anything change ?I played all the Gothic games and loved them and I have downloaded this game but havent played it yet
