By the way it seems vsync is being forced on even if it's disabled on config menu.

This is an extremely surface level nit pick but I was surprised by how puny the bulldog sounded compared to the rounder. The latter is just fantastic, the former sounds like a peashooter. Granted I suppose it might be more realistic that a makeshift gun sounds louder, if that was the intent behind it, but the bulldog is far less full-sounding if that makes sense.

Sometimes when you click weapon menu with equip/reload and such appear not where it should be - on the edge of screen.
Option to dismiss partymember isn't obvious - make it clearer somehow, or I can guarantee avalanche of question "how can I dismiss NPC" on steam.

I wish UI was a bit more obvious about things that matter like this, like AP costs having larger fonts n stuff

I wish UI and text could be scaleble to x2 at least otherwise I cound't play it beyond combat demo, as I already feel slight dizzines.

torso shots have inbuilt +accuracy or do they

Nope, they all have same THC modifier +10 except headshot which is +5, that's why I asked.
I beat them, but didn't felt it was reliable and viable for ironman.
Eliminate Grinder first, Basher isn't much trouble and will die after 2 turns, but hit frm Sharpshooter is oneshot if you got hit by Basher.
Also didn't use energy shield.
:happytrollboy:

Well, because he is (and his legs especially), you know, behind the crate

:notsureifserious:

Menu typeface is

Which one? Main menu?

In the textbox.

Too small to read!1111111111
I read only digits there.

Cover bonus is double for legs and arms shots.

Ah, I see...

The question - when char is in cover behind the crate, he is crouching, when he attacked in melee he stands up but when melee attacks end he didn't crouch again and next enemy shooting at him standing tall - is it just animation or he doesn't get cover bonus like that?

Also - it seems you can't take Heroic feats later in game - only at character creation right?

First thoughts on an aesthetic level.

Firstly, the female hair options are way too modern for the inspirations the game claims. The first/default hair being the ultra modern side of the head shaved is offputting. First female hair shown should be something like the first female portrait.

Second, during the background survey, the text formatting sucks. Left justified text on a black background next to a bright picture is a pain in the ass to read (native English speaker for what it's worth).

Dragging an item from your inventory seems (?) to just give it to the trader without question or compensation. The natural expectation would be to sell it, or at least give a one time warning what you're doing.

Can't crouch when there's an axe murderer next to you. Good way to deal with enemies in cover when you have a melee buddy.

Correct.

The what now?

The game is set in the distant future where folks have datajacks on the side of their heads, so both ultra modern and shaved sides fit right in. Having said that, this particular hair model is god fucking awful, it was an early test piece, which was included in the demo only because we had very few hair models. Our artist is working on them but it would probably take 3-4 weeks to get all the hair styles and beards in.

Overall, for the last 6 months our focus was on the mechanics and balance. Cosmetic things like prices, armor color, customization options, and tons of other little things were given very low priority, so we're only starting to work on them now. Just so you know.

You've mentioned others (I recall The Weapon Shops of Isher being among them) in the past but
Colony Ship is an isometric, party-based RPG inspired by Heinlein’s Orphans of the Sky
Classic sci-fi of the 50s-60s just doesn't jive with a hairstyle that's, at the earliest, 90s counter-culture (which even then is doubtful as an origin) and only really took off in media as "normal" couple years ago (where it reeks of a very particular current culture). I'm not saying there should be Fallout esqe culture refusing to advance in hair, but something so easily dated to a particular half decade is odd.

I'd agree with that but 'inspired' (by 50s-60s sci-fi) doesn't mean 'exactly like'.

Well, shaved sides have been a thing (for men) on and off for a very long time so the concept itself isn't new or limited to the 90s, but women shaving one side of their head is certainly new. However, now that it's a thing, do you expect it to disappear in a few years and never to be heard from again? I doubt it. Plus, like I said, when you have a reason to keep one side of your head shaved (implants), shaved sides will definitely be back in fashion.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex USB, 2014 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The guy with the two public defenders keeps killing me. The one with the sword just charges in and 1-turns my melee guy (the replacement for Billy, who died in his first fight). My main character goes down shortly after that.

Is it possible to get more teammates?

I don't think people would be lining up to work for you after two 'paralegals' ended up dead. Keep using them fuckers up, eh?

Send me your save (or upload it somewhere) and I will take a look first thing tomorrow. info@irontowerstudio.com

The save? I'm not saying there was a bug or anything, I'm just complaining that the battle is difficult. General observation; if someone has a good strategy for defeating the guy and his defenders please let me know. Also, combat tips in general for the rifle, I find it is a difficult weapon to use (although I guess it consistently hits at range for decent damage if you can keep people at a long distance). So far shotgun and melee seems powerful.

I'm a little unclear on how recruiting works. I got Billy from the Chief Judge, and then when he died in the subsequent battle I go the hammer man. Would I have gotten the hammer man anyway (bringing my team total to 3 including myself)? If that's the case I would try hard to keep him alive. I want to get a dream team of 4 people so I can just dunk on every idiot the Chief Judge sends against me.

I know. Just want to help, that's all.

Depends on the build (i.e. on what your character can do), that's why I asked for the save. Is your main character a fighter or a lover? Melee or ranged? Which weapons? It's a hard fight but doable. I'd position your character behind the cover, activate shield if he's a ranger, let the melee party member play assist rather than face the defender all on his own. Since the defender has a distortion field that makes him hard to hit, fall back, wait until it wears of. Use a flashbang to lower his THC.

You get Billy, if he dies - Mason, then Halston, then Vasquez if you accept his offer. If they all die, you're on your own.

Hmm I think that might work, have both characters retreat to cover and spend some money on consumables (Flashbang, maybe some poison). I find that money is very hard to come by early on, and there doesn't appear to be any crafting, so I have been hesitant to spend money on anything that isn't absolutely necessary. I'm the sort of person who dies with a backpack full of unused items, too. Not a good combo in difficult games.

Success!

Turns out, sometimes it is a good idea to take cover and use consumables. One flashbang, poison grenade, and smoke grenade later, I am now a fully-fledged Prosecutor with my own second- and third-chair assistants.

Finished 2d time. Oddly enough muties ended up a lot easier than Sam Fisher. everything snowballed after getting Colt, it's the real sniper rifle of the demo. (just glance at the stats - 2 extra damage and 5% pen on best rifle and extra range that doesn't come into play because how lolrush enctouner is comes at cost of 2 ap, which shows how much better pistol is at the job. maybe ammunition must be different and rifle rounds should be stronger or something.)

this time with initiative 120 I outinid everyone too, which generally means 2 dead people before enemy gets a turn (kneecaps/fanning/reaction shots/SMG dude going against debuffed enemies behind his lonely crate-bro).

4 6 11 11 4 6
Pistol, Crit, Evasion
Fast runner (again), Pistolero, Fast draw, Sharpshooter, Speedloader
upgraded distortion field to last 1 more turn

obviously no touch anything that reduces AP, because why would I want to?

Try using grenades. From third or fourth fight I've been using this strategy with my rifle guy with some success(to some extent): Flashbang > Bullseye(usually targets with higher evasion or who I think would give me more trouble) > Hide or activate energy shield/hologram thing > Finish the job with companion(SMG guy's been the better one at it so far).

Downside of this strategy is that I really depend on crits for the knockdown effect at later fights against the more evasive guys. Thankfully, if you invest in rifles and crit, it happens quite often.

Can't install subdermal implant. Machhine says it was installed but when I go to inventory it's still there.
