Good luck! What build do you plan on starting out with?
Fists only. Joking. I know I can't.

If I can't play my monks, I usually resort to druid-like stuff. So something mildly intelligent, mildly charismatic and very wise. Mediocre or even below average combat stats.

But I plan to see how combat feels too, so I might do 2 runs. 2nd with a combat-oriented bloke.

In that case. I suggest specializing into a high CHA/INT build. So ten in both stats. This type of build will allow you to avoid combat, and focus on the story aspect of the game. I wouldn't encourage a hybrid build until you get the hang of the mechanics.

I love the premise and background setting for the game. I'm glad I went into this with essentially no foreknowledge at all (I knew I was going to buy it wnen it was announced).

I wish I could select numbered options via the numeric keypad.
I also wish I could pan the camera around with the arrow keys.

Also also wish the game's audio wouldn't mute when I switched to a different program, but that's not as important to me as the keyboard controls.

The game would have to sell 40% more just to break even (for us to get the same revenue we could get on our own). It sells 20% more, we're losing money. Thus it's one hell of a leap of faith and we aren't prepared to take this jump yet, so we'll continue with our ‘business model’ where revenues of the first game aren't a reward but the operating budget for the second game, and so on and so forth.
sell 100, you have 70, steam takes 30
sell 140, you have 70, steam takes 140*0.3=42, publisher takes 28?
28/140=0.2=20%?

Negotiate conditional payout. If you sell 1.4 above your defined 1 or are you afraid to lowball yourself? ^^

That's not how it works (and for a good reason).

Ironically, so far, this is the only problem I have with the game. Which is weird, because I usually never have a problem with the setting. But I will further detail this after I play some more. I won't dish half-baked opinions. Maybe my ideas will change.

Just asking what the publisher cut is.

That's not how it works
If you have a position where you really dont care about a publisher than anything works.
Of course if the publisher declines than its no-deal but you didnt care anyway...
If the publisher cant add 40% sales, are they even worth it...
I know! Ask FIG and VERSUS EVIL! LOOOL
Have they inquired?

I've restarted a lot, because I put way too much value in Lone Wolf, but, so far, I have a little issue with... the circle of life on board the ship.

You make a point in making me read about how... and here we quote Sid's Alpha Centauri "It is every citizen's final duty to go into the tanks, and become one with all the people", meaning every dead body eventually becomes food for everyone else, etc. People would then have to make sure not to overbreed, etc. And then you relay that a mutiny happened, which eventually led to some-sort of regulatory issues.

But then you ALSO introduce the Hydroponics sector, which further includes a whole area where plants are an enemy of your inhabitants.

So bottom line:
X = total organic life on board
Y = total organic life on board in human form
Z = total organic life on board in plant form
L = inevitable loss because the recycling process is not perfect

X = Y + Z -> there is an inevitable moment where people would have to fight the plant life for survival, unless L = 0. Not just set up an outpost and call it a day. (and even if L = 0, you still would have issues at one point or another)

The whole idea of factions is endangered by the fact that you say that the plant life ran amok.

Again, haven't beat the game, or even scraped the surface. But I will be dissapointed if this isn't addressed somehow. Or, at least, make me not care.

30%.

No publisher will guarantee anything (all of them stated so explicitly without me asking), so the only way to find out if they're worth it is to roll the dice.

I can't comment on that.

Not really. The first zone is overgrown by plants but it's pretty safe overall as you haven't been attacked by plants (yet). Plus the current population is 20% of what once was so the recycling banks are full and maintaining a fifth of the population is much easier, not to mention that people die (killed) at a much faster rate than anticipated so the recyclers are well fed.

Developer wants feedback on Evans! Link!
Feedback needed: Evans
As you probably know, many party members will have a transformative experience (similar to what Faythe goes through). Now (in the upcoming update) it's Evans' turn. While we have our own ideas, we'd like to hear from you. How do you play Evans, which weapons do you use, and what you'd like to see/what changes would accommodate your playstyle best.

The choice is simple: playing it safe (bonus to cover and aimed attacks?) vs OK Corral style shootouts (+2AP, evasion, reaction?).

First of all, lets remind ourselves what we have to work with here:
85942204EBFC865A0153C89B6EAE7D7ABA3ED4DB

High dexterity/perception, lower than average strength/constitution really doesn't leave much for interpretation (+zero utility skills). It's either rifles, pistols, both or shotguns. SMGs are meh choice because they basically require heroic trait to really shine. He don't need cover bonus because he have tough bastard, which is more than enough already for such ranged guy. Some sweet bonuses like reaction or graze would be nice or even more initiative in order to not bother with taking fast draw > take some more useful feat instead. As an alternative trait maybe offer one more tag skill for versality or defensive skill +something else like +1/+2 ap.

3 endings are obvious- one each for supporting a different faction.

Wondering what the other 2 might be. Brokering a truce? Maybe wiping everyone out (with some support from the Pit)? Or maybe there's some secret way like with supporting Mercy!

Weren't more than 3 factions? Old ways, not-NOD, chuch, mutants and monks as major factions?
