Clyde Caldwell's cover for adventure module I11 Needle was later repurposed by SSI for the cover of acclaimed online game Neverwinter Nights:

Honestly, I'll blame WOTC for its growing lazy and greedy. They'll just keep milking anything that makes more money instead of improving the dnd game, CR is nothing more than their current cash cow.

Y'know, I don't really get this. What exactly is my incentive to give these people money in the first place? It's not like I can't play the game without doing so, and these people obviously have more money than I do, so...what's my motivation here, again?

It's simply mental retardation on the people watching.

To give you guys an example, in my last session I was forced to witness two grown fucking men having gay dnd sex with each other.
First time I played DND, I based my character off of Barbara from Rayman Legends. The table kept trying to fuck my character.
I don't know why people get this horny over tabletop RPGs.

Why would a bunch of men whose imagination has been twisted by pornography become horny over a game of imagination? Gee, I dunno. It is a mystery.

Maybe. They still do this stuff now a days. The lifter in our group kept trying to make passes to me IRL, trying to pass it off as a joke. I know one of them kissed multiple friends "as a joke". Really freaking bizarre group.

I probably will regret asking, but...

Is "Chromatic Unicorns" a real spell?

Edit: After examining the second image a bit more... I get the impression the effect of each colour of the unicorn is to turn you into an even worse kind of faggot than the previous one, so maybe I really don't want to know.

To be clear, this isn't a D&D issue. It is a those guys issue.

That's probably some horrendous mutation of the dancing lights spell or something like that.

Doesn't prestigitation let you pull off arbitrary lightshows like this?

Not according to its description.

  • You create an instantaneous, harmless sensory effect, such as a shower of sparks, a puff of wind, faint musical notes, or an odd odor.
  • You instantaneously light or snuff out a candle, a torch, or a small campfire.
  • You instantaneously clean or soil an object no larger than 1 cubic foot.
  • You chill, warm, or flavor up to 1 cubic foot of nonliving material for 1 hour.
  • You make a color, a small mark, or a symbol appear on an object or a surface for 1 hour.
  • You create a nonmagical trinket or an illusory image that can fit in your hand and that lasts until the end of your next turn.

I feel like the last bullet could be made to produce the pictured effect. "can fit inside your hand" is such a delightfully vague condition for an illusory image. And since it's a cantrip I think that means you can recast it every turn, so the effect is permanent as long as you focus.

I think a friendly GM would allow it for sure, since it's not useful for gameplay purposes, just roleplaying.

Figured I'd look up a wiki on these characters to find the answer, because of course people who care about this put it all on a wiki. Found the category for player characters.

There are 128 pages in that category. Are they playing a fucking Westmarch campaign?

I don't recognized DANDINO 3.x+ as being D&D.

*shrug* I have never even played DND, I just absorb munchkinisms like this naturally :M
(which is also why I have no interest in DnD, it would ineveitably turn degenerate within hours)

It's hard to be a munchkin in True D&D™. It really wasn't set up for it like DANDINO is.

They do lots of one-shots and WikiAutists will add all these characters too. The ones you are looking for are "The Mighty Nein" and that particular character is this one:

Spiritual Weapon[350] (takes the form of a giant lollipop, and at higher level as a lollipop with a serrated edge)

Spirit Guardians[363] (manifests as either a number of "hamster unicorns" or seahorses with unicorn-like horns)

Amusingly, can't actually find the latter spell in the cleric spell list, but I can find it in the SRD.
