Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Would be nice if this game was the death of developers and publishers thinking they need to bead over backwards to please a handful of people that bitch about everything on ResetEra

I wonder what heads of CDPR were thinking ? I mean they already delayed game twice. They knew perfectly well about those bugs. Pushing it to say april and iron out 99% of those bugs would spare them troubles they are in now. In case of TW3 their excuse was that they were heavy in debt and they couldn't really play anymore. Since release of TW3 they are floating in money, they also perfectly knew about problems which means for some stupid reasons someone at the top decided that they have to release buggy game rather than do proper delay and release it say april 2021. Reviews would be much better and due to how reviews scores work on public they would sell even more copies.

Something tells me head of CDPR starts to rot.

"hey we worked on this thing for 10 years, now let's fuck up release because we can't wait 3-4 months more to iron out bugs"

Stagnating, really. Nothing has changed in minds of top of the foodchain at CDPR. In management department, REDs are your typical post-soviet factory, where the opinion of two owners matters the most and other 99.9% of employees are slaves and can just shove it if they don't like how their two superiors (Adam and Marcin) roll or relocate to Techland or IDK.

So, after reading one Polish review, they clearly make an effort to underline that, while you can "rush" the main story in 20 hours, doing so will only make 1 ending available to you. You have to do side plots in order for multiple endings to be possible, which in themselves can also branch further.

Apparently that is in response to complaints that TW3 main story was way too long, overstayed its welcome, and made side content unrewarding, to the point that MQs were the only significant xp gains.

Would be nice if this game was the death of developers and publishers thinking they need to bead over backwards to please a handful of people that bitch about everything on ResetEra. I mean, you could says this game probably did that too, but ResetEra has still been trying to destroy it on and off for like a year now. When this game comes out and is a massive hit all it'll do is show how much what ResetEra thinks about anything doesn't mean shit, they tried to take down Cyberpunk 2077, and they utterly failed. All they basically did is show there's no point in trying to pander to them because once they're mad they'll just stay mad, and they don't have the kind of power to destory something like they did when they were part of NeoGAF...especially at the rates it seems to eliminate members for having the "wrong opinion" or whatever.

Even if this game sucks that'd be a good thing to happen.
Trannies mad on Resetera, Autists fuming on 4chan, this game has already delivered entertainment aplenty for me.

I think their best bet was to do what they are doing and did with The Witcher 3. Release it in its bugridden form and then aggressively patch it. Court public perception later through some free DLC or other methods to win over the peasants.

When Kingdom Come released buggy and people were saying "you should've taken a few more months", Vavra clearly said that's a fallacy. At some point your Q&A reaches a limit of what they can discover. Only when you turn the game over to the rest of the world and millions of people jump in you'll start finding all the cracks and holes your 100 people strong Q&A didn't see or couldn't replicate.

Big open-world RPGs are just too complex nowadays. CDPR could've waited for 5 more years and the game would've still released full of bugs. Just wait 2 months and then start playing, it's about the best advice you'll get.

On the other hand mission variety, non-linearity and reactivity is nonexistent in that game, and probably much better in CP.
I wouldn't be so sure, every mission i saw was basically following the yellow marker on the mini map with no possibilities for a detour

Yeah, at some point devs just use players as free testers.

Sorry for everyone who suffered through the the first builds of my horrible porn games.

If only. Cyberpunk 2077 in prologue featured bugs not present on PC build shown in year 2018.

We'll see, the reports I've heard (although not seen myself) suggest there are several ways to finish missions.

It's the problem with remodelling some systems from scratch late into development. The fools at cyberpunk did that. Seems like they really leisured their time during corona, cashed out that gainzzz.

They’re a public company, every time they delay they had to go explain to the investors why they needed a delay, and their stock tanked. I get why they’re putting it out now, it’s still good enough to review well. But it’s 100% on the retards at CDPR who are just absolute dogshit at setting release dates. They fucked up getting it done on time for both W3 and Cyberpunk, they need to take a long hard look at their management. That they delayed it multiple times and it’s still a buggy mess is pretty damning.

Nothing in the world can be worse than the RDR2 mission design. Not the floods or the plague or Africa or veganism or American beer. Nothing.

I wasn't too impressed by Witcher's quest design.
Come on, that's just bullshit. I mean, if that really was your experience then it's a pitty, but TW3 had great and varied missions which were always more complex than you thought they were.

Terrible management, honestly. If it's still this broken in December 2020, how fucked up was it around the original release date of April? Why not just delay it indefinetely using COVID as an excuse?

something something gimme dem dolla bills something...
