Why I see such articles only about games being too hard? I dont remember any comments on how Assassins Creed gameplay is so boring it works better than sleeping pills.

Why Dark Souls 3 should have an easy mode and the problem with 'playing to win'

Video games should inspire debate and interpretation. Do not do the game you love a disservice, your experience is yours and yours alone.
Why deny that for someone else?
Why can't these people content themselves with watching videos of someone else playing the game? Why must they insist on pretending to play games via modes so easy it's impossible to fail?

"Surprisingly, I do believe that lowering the difficulty level in the Souls series would dilute the experience somewhat."

Good, then your opinion was unnecessary. It's like asking an intelligent TV series to (optionally) dumb it's writing and plot complexity down to be understandable by all viewers. I still agree to some extent, especially because variable difficulty levels are pretty damn easy to implement and player skill & patience is pretty variable (e.g 16 y/o vs the elderly), but you are only getting the true experience if you conform to the developer's vision old school style, and if more modern games had half the balls FROM did then there would likely be no codex.

^There are no invasions in easy mode or NPC invasions only (that are dumbed down for easy mode). Basically a little like playing in offline mode.

Lol, Extra Credits. I really hang on the opinion of a bunch of faggots who made a video about how we're in danger of running out of internet.

So Bamco was teasing a while back that they have some important news to say about DaS3. This is what it was.

The born again "hardcore gamer" fanboys that only play Dark Souls and ignore gaming history will eat it up I'm sure.

I wouldn't say no to that bonfire hat though, if it were free, but I have absolutely no fashion sense, or shall I say I don't really give a fuck about fashion rather as long as I look reasonably presentable for the occasion.

Hm, that's very in line with the tone of Dark Souls. Well done, Banco. It's a very MLG game, played only for serious e-sports purposes.

Drink Mountain Dew!

What a load of shit. Many games have had overpowered options and that's called imbalanced game systems, especially when you bring PvP into it where balance is of utmost importance*. ALL games have also had options to make the game harder than usual, it's called self-imposed playstyles, e.g playing only on soul level 1. Lastly, the character you choose in the beginning influencing difficulty is essentially the same as difficulty options when beginning a new game. Also not a fan of co-op option, you're cheating yourself out of the real experience by co-opting with friends to take a boss down.
To me, non-changable easy/difficulty/hard modes is and always will be the best method, which is probably why it is still so present to date. You shouldn't need the context provided from playing the game first as the difficulty options should be self-explanatory, e,g EASY, NORMAL AND HARD. One provides little challenge, one provides a moderate one, the other will be testing. While it may not be easy to measure as some may find it easy and others may not, just stop being a faggot and conform or give it up. That's how you become a "hardcore gamer", by being a scrub, getting your ass handed to you by punishing old school games, and coming to enjoy that experience as long as it isn't overly masochistic. Nobody is born a hardcore gamer.

I've enjoyed some extra credits videos but this one was absolute nonsense.

*As an extreme example of the importance of balance, if there was one weapon that made ALL frames of roll provide invulnerability and one hit kill regardless of strength/dexterity, that weapon would be used by everyone in PvP as the only way to beat the wielder of this weapon would be to wield it yourself, effectively destroying the variety in builds, tactics and combat depth, and thus sucking all the fun out of it.

Speaking of hardcore ass whoopings, has anyone managed to beat The Revenge of Shinobi (1989)? I gave it a shot the other day and made it to stage 4 after so many deaths, but it was too much. It'd take a ninja gamer to beat that game. So I challenge you to beat it without emulation save states if you think you are some Dark Souls god, because DS has not got shit on it. At least when you're getting your ass whooped you get to listen to a real funky soundtrack though.

And no, this is not a game I'd recommend as an older alternative to Dark Souls, that'd probably Ninja Gaiden Black, Blade: Severance of Darkness, or Castlevania: SOTN or something, heck even King's Field, but this ninja game kicked my ass something crazy, yet I'm not sure if it's entirely unfair, just HIGHLY skill-based.

I swear to god, I will pirate the fuck out of this game come the 11th

Meh, playing offline is half the game when it comes to FromSoft. Enjoy your nice shitty ronery play without invasion, coop and messages.

Actually this time it could be better game...

I am trying to stay silent on game but i have read somewhere that you can summon up to 6 people in DS3. Which is basically clausterfuck. Event DS2 was clusterfuck with more than 2.
